2027 Headliners

I know people like a good pile on but I think this is a great line up.  If we were given that at Glasto I would be happy.  It is just the headliners who aren't to my taste. very excited to see The XX back.  I wonder whether that puts them in contention for something like APE next year.  Feels like their most logical uk festival.

somebody that actually figured out the undercard has what the haters are looking for. Theres a plethora or guitar bands on there. Wonder what the thoughts wouldve been if it was indeed The Strokes into Oasis.

lineup was supposed to announce last week so the brothers mightve changed their minds as is the course.

they got swift for 27 anyway.

Am connected through some corporate link who claims Foos doing 18 month World Tour which also factors in Glasto 2027 - which, aside from the Churn Ups secret set, is 10 years between their headline 2017 show and 2027. Crazy how time flies.

Hideous but very believable. How solid do you think the glasto part is?

Can't remember where i read it now but apparently they were meant to be curating their own day at R&L in 2025 with Biffy etc on the lineup but it fell through- maybe it will happen in 2026?

I’d be amazed if they’re not headlining R&L this year.

UK stadium shows in June 2026 and lots of shows including Australia December 2026 then a sweep round for some big shows again in 2027

So that's Foo Fighters and Oasis in one year, that would be massive. Chappell, Sabrina whoever as the 3rd. That'll be Fender being held off until 2028.

The thoughts don't matter because it didn't happen, while The Strokes look really out of place, but at least they've accepted they aren't headliners anymore.

You talk a lot of rubbish. First you got Oasis, now you're getting Swifty, you were getting Olivia. This time you got the worst headliner booking you probably could have ever got who's famous for Swifty dancing awkwardly with her at an awards show.

I mean, that would rule them out of R+L.

Which feels... I dunno, unlikely? Just assumed they were a lock for that in 2026.

I don't think it would depending on where the stadium shows were. If there is one band that could do stadium shows earlier in June and still return for Reading, it's Foos. I mean, Green Day did Emirates and Reading the same year and they let them. Bands that size get away with it. It also would not make sense to have Reading on the same list of options mentioned for bigger shows aside.

The calendar I’ve seen has UK shows and Germany and Poland etc for June.

That could mean Rock am Ring again which was noticed recently is something they do every 3/4 years anyway. I would love it but surely Werchter aren't getting them back again after only 2 years?

    • I was so lucky yesterday, disappointed of course not to see Massive Attack, but gorgeous sets from Blood Orange, Caroline, Panda Bear, and Father John Misty was a real highlight. The half of Geese i saw was mint too.   I wanted to see overmono but couldnt hack it anymore.   But now, its Friday, I'm In Love
