Sorry to all those who missed out, we didn't even get a code. But well done / congrats to those who are going - should be great.

Bit surprised by how much some of the tickets were though. And that was without dynamic pricing!

Buying tickets for big gigs is such a palaver, I really am beginning to wonder if I can be arsed with them at all any more.

100% agree. the stress this year of trying to get glasto tickets was bad enough but feel like every big act is the same.  It hangs over me for the week as to whether we will or won't get them and nearly every time end up spending more than we want to spend because of the pressure.

Unrelated to the ticket shenanigans, but one for the admins - any chance we can change the name of this thread to Radiohead please? My OCD keeps twitching when I see the year and the question mark.

done ... was thinking the same the other day and got distracted before I changed it

Was saying this the other day. I have a season ticket and follow my team over Europe etc. (well not that part this season!). I also love music and gigs. The faff with the former, notably ever increasing ticketing complications and costs, had me thinking that a greater emphasis on gigs was where I was ultimately headed. But that is going in the same direction, at least for the bigger artists. I guess demand drives much of it (both difficulty in getting tickets and the cost) and I assume the tours are the main earner now (rather than being to promote record sales as in yesteryear). With football the faff starts to become a constant in between actually going which erodes the fun, and gigs starting to go the same way.

im trying for Lewis Capaldi tickets ( yeah I know ) and the presales just add to the stress in my opinion .... now you need to be able to log in to several accounts ( if possible ) over both the sale and presale days ... a right faff in my opinion . would personally just prefer 1 sale on 1 day

It's just the one presale, no registration, for BST, isn't it?

I'm on the BST mailing list from previous years and have received an email for both Capaldi and Brooks presales. Assume is the same for everyone who's previously ordered/registered.

BST do seem to put a lot of tickets in the presale, their own and the AMEX one. I actually got an American Express just so I could do BST pre-sales.

I ended up with Tier 3 for Capaldi in the AMEX sale and so likely to start at that or higher in the general sale.

So much for Radiohead at Primavera. Wonder where they’ll show up next year if at all.

It'll be own dates, if at all. 2027 much better option for festivals with Primavera and Glastonbury being big options I expect. If like last time a album will be released with Primavera and a mix of festivals in 2027 with 2028 covering others such as Glastonbury and Werchter.

    • I'm surprised they risked it, especially after nearly missing their Glasto 22 slot under similar circumstances  I did see someome say Ellie didnt sound as strong as recently but I'm guessing playing 3 shows in 2 different continents doesnt help that    On the topic though I can definitely see them doing a Fontaines and having a break over winter before a few final Clearing shows next summer
    • That's fair on WA - I did recall people thinking Fontaines would take this year off before this was announced.    On the subject of Wolf Alice, they did Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday then Kendal Calling last night. Bit of an odd choice, no? Half imagine at Kendal that they would've been just exhausted.
    • Just logged onto the app to start planning my days and there really are a LOT of stages missing. Apart from the Seaside Stage there is no Casemates this year etc. Apart from the Seaside Stage, there are no Casemates this year, etc. Can't see anything about the kids field really. And there's local acts that are normally there like Kojak's Revenge that aren't appearing either.  Normally we get down fairly early but I can't see anything before 3pm I'm keen to see. Only one real clash as well, which is good, but it's thin and it's not thin in the sense of "I've seen a lot of these acts before"
