Justice - Sam Fender co-headlining  or   there is another headliner to be announced?

It's unclear really, mainly because Fender was on the second row of the poster alongside Noah Kahan. Looking now though, NIN are above both and on their own row below KOL so it's all very confusing.

Does this mean there is still no headliner for the 11th?!

I guess this means there will be no headliner on the 11th. Those 3 are the big billed acts, and once the day split poster comes out Justice and Sam Fender will be on the top of there day.

I think it's a similar situation to the 2017 edition of Nos, where only Arcade Fire and Radiohead had top billing, and once the made the day split poster Chemical Brothers where billed as headliner

It would be odd if they were the headliners, but if they are then we'll get a good long set at least.

Well, Olivia Rodrigo, Kings of Leon and Nine Inch Nails are headliners. And then there's the rest.

Can't be clearer than that looking at the poster.

Was 2016, when they billed The Chemical Brothers, Pixies and Robert Plant as a 'Triple Headliner Bill'. Only remember that because I was there haha.

It's very uncommon, but I have known festivals do similar set ups in the past where they can only book their headliners on certain days. So some days end up with two big headliner sized bands and the other days have a couple of medium sized headliners to give it some more depth. I don't think Fender (headlining Werchter, high up at Hurricane etc) and Justice (dance headliner at a lot of small to medium sized festivals) is necessarily a bad compromise.

Doesn’t mean a 4th one won’t join them. Sam fender is much lower down on that listing .

that being said , the 11th is my favourite day so far. Would be nice if they had a strong headline name to round it off.

Oh you're right, I was there too but I was convinced that it was 17.

But still it's a president that they don't always have a clear headliner for every day, and I'm with you that Justice and Fender isn't the worst pairing, especially when you look at the other festivals this summer

With Biffy Clyro and The 1975 in the afternoon and Soulwax, Wolf Alice and John Grant playing in the tent, if I remember correctly.

None of them having the big font on the poster.

It does look like the poster is saying "here's your headliners". If so, so be it. There is enough there to justify the ticket price for me, but I think it will probably sell poorly in general. No act, for me at least, to sell the volume of tickets Pearl Jam did last year. O Rod day will probably sell out for the young uns.

Saturday will be like 2019 where Vampire Weekend, Greta Van Fleet and Gossip were shared as headliners for Saturday while the main bill was the cure, bon iver, the smashing pumpkins, bon iver and chemical brothers.

Blimey, this festival has really taken a downturn since then..

bloody hell, I've just looked at 2018's and that's a serious line-up!

I don't think as a community we'll see a year like 2018 again for a long time. Was harder to go to a festival with a bad line-up it felt; nearly all of the June/July festivals over-delivered

I think you're right, mate... at least while the festival atendees seem content with the wishy-washy line-ups we're seeing lately.

Maybe something will give and ticket sales will start to dry up if they keep underdelivering. I see so many complaints about the likes of Leeds and Reading, Nos Alive these days, I woder how long line-ups can continue like this before people stop going in favour of smaller events. After all, the main reason we go to these large-scale, corporate affairs is the line-ups and possibility of seeing iconic acts.  I know that I for one will stop going to large festivals if the line-ups continue to go in the direction they have been doing...

To be honest I don't think that there ever will be a year like 2018 again, with the trend that acts prefer to do there own shows instead of festivals I think there is no going back, at least without festivals doubling there prices

2022 got close imo but that was a special case given it was 3 years worth of festivals at once.

I do remember even immediately feeling a drop-off, mind. In 2018, I went to Mad Cool, Lollapalooza Paris and Milano Rocks and was so excited 2019 might deliver a similar party, and didn't find anything that made me wanna splurge like that.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
