Great this season for the cups to be spread  around. This will be such a memorable day for Crystal Palace fans and much better than City having another trophy that will get lost in the memories with all the others.

I don't think anyone other than City fans will really disagree. And even they probably won't be as fussed. I also think not having a trophy this season will be better for them in terms of not trying to paper over how bad they've actually been.

No the sh*t teams normally get beaten.

But we dont in Europe, thats the strange one. We have played some decent sides as well, notably the 4th best side in Spain.

Is the Man Utd v Spurs final going to be on a free-to-air channel? Think these finals have been on the channel’s YouTube before?

Aye, free via discovery plus app. Apols, can’t remember how to embed links.

Lovely day saying goodbye to Goodison. And a wonderful treat to have her played out to Bill Ryder Jones doing In My Life accompanied by a brass rendition of Z Cars. Beautiful finale.

It was a very special day, such passion and the scenes around the stadium were the best I've personally seen (as I was born the year we last won the league!). Perfect send off, and I couldn't be more excited for that first game at the new place in August

if you get a few minutes watch this. The plans to develop the central docks from the stadium to the city centre were approved a couple of weeks ago. Peel Holdings are well impressed with our new owners by all accounts and are now going all guns blazing to extend the city centre waterfront northwards right up to the ground. I was at the last test event and it was weird coming out of the south stand and looking directly at the liver building with practically nothing in between. That is changing.
oh and I was in my 20’s when we last won the league and I have no intention of it being my last!

Gary Neville has just predicted that utd will beat spurs in the final. That'll be a match of two spursy teams. The only teams more spursy are man city and Chelsea

Got to be honest, I could not give a single solitary shite how bad the game was! it’s just nice, after four final defeats in a row without even bloody scoring, to get one over the line. However it happened. Scrappy little goal, a team shorn of all creative midfielders, 17th, who cares 🤣skiving off work Friday for the open top bus parade down the Tottenham high road and I can’t wait!

Absolutely no Spurs supporters should give any shits. Enjoy it!

Well that was awful.

If Delap chooses elsewhere, what do you even do? Supposed £100m budget + whatever is freed from sales, but Delap for £30m makes that a lot less miserable if it happens at that price.

Eh. If Newcastle's Carabao win was a scrappy 1-0, I still would've taken it. So I won't grudge Spurs being happy to take a first win in a major trophy since The Dark Knight came out in a truly awful game of football.

Thought Spurs might hold their parade on the Bank Holiday Monday tbf.

I presume palace had already booked london’s only open-top bus 🤣 I’m quite happy to be off work and to head out for a few jars though, and Sundays game can happen with a pissed squad! I think there’s a weird bonding between spurs, Newcastle and palace this year, cos we all seem to have enjoyed each other’s successes and the getting of respective monkeys off backs. At least in my own experience anyways!

I just think that what we’ve felt this season can’t really be compared to your liverpools and uniteds, who win stuff extremely regularly - they’ll never get the high of a twenty, seventy, or hundred and nineteen year wait. It just makes all those losing times gain a real perspective - I know that palace earnt their cup final win and 90 and 16 were markers on that journey. It’s extra beautiful coming after a bloody long road.

It's a reason I still don't really mind City in comparison to the other big boys. They were another club that spent years in the trophy wilderness, getting some relegations, without the same entitlement, and without me growing up around glory-hunters.

Utd have always had 'glory hunters', even the decades of the 70s and 80s when success was very limited. United have had large chunks of trophyless periods.

1968 - 1990 = 3 trophies.

Plus city are not one of the big boys.

    • There is possibly a weak link in the ticket buying system, no matter how clever the technical controls get. I just spent 20 minutes this morning hammering the ‘Buy Tickets’ button while the web page kept telling me there weren’t enough tickets remaining to meet my request. Eventually it changed its mind and let me buy two tickets. Most likely because of failed payments in the queue ahead of me. So - just like it did in the good old F5 days - pig-headed blind persistence can sometimes pay off.   BTW, the tickets were for the Whispering Bob Harris evening in the Albert Hall on 2nd December.
    • All I'm asking for is Rancid
    • MGK would probably end my interest in this festival completely.
    • The basement, deafheaven, Mannequin pussy clash is v annoying. Also not sure why pinkpantheress is in the tent, surely going to be ramos.
    • It's just this:   Search up which orgs are currently in Tufton St, funded by Koch Brothers, Robert Mercer, and Matthew Elliot.   It's moved on from "Vote Leave" and "Leave Means Leave" into the lobbyists against net zero. It's the same funding from the same people in the same place lobbying our media and politicians.
