If they put taxes up - Tories will say 'same old Labour'
If they borrow - Tories will say 'same old Labour'
If they make cuts - Most will say 'just like the Tories'
Which is why they are sticking to the growth will pay for everything.
If growth does not come, if it does it will take 2 years or more to be enough, then they will do nothing much but reform services blaming the Tories for the mess they left it in and then go for an election in May 2028 if the polls allow and will then say they need 5 more years to 'reap the benefits of what they have started'.
Sadly the UK is not going anywhere fast regardless of which of the two wins, it just might move slightly quicker under Labour.
