Please let it be a wink at bloc party

I think it's probably a wink at all 3, with how all 3 of them are positioned date wise it would be odd for them not to be.

The funny thing is that with Biffy Clyro, they've not done RAR and Werchter for 10 years or since they last made a solid record basically. But their newer sound probably fits in and RAR have them way higher up than I expected.

You already have a situation where Werchter could have Olivia, Green Day, Linkin Park, Fred, Metallica, Jack White, Nick Cave, Fender, Biffy Clyro, Bloc Party, Fontaines DC. Metallica is an out there shout but they have a massive gap with 6/7 days to get over there.

Biffy are a decent size in Germany, and have played big slots at RaR in past years. I was looking at seeing them in Berlin before COVID postponed the tour and from memory it was an arena show.

I do think it’s just that an announcement is coming, a couple have just posted today is the day on festileaks too.

That lineup above… as much as I’d love it I just can’t see it being that strong.

Nope, nothing…. So @Ken19 wasn’t talking about an announcement today then.

Guess it’s back to the previous thought of later this week with Roskilde

Well I guess if classic comes out today then we can all get excited for Thursday!!!

It depends if they decide to jump on for 25. Werchter pay bands is the thing, issue we have with Glastonbury is that others don't and not everyone is going to get booked for bst for example to compensate

I thought Werchter did their announcements on Fridays ngl.

Nah, randomly throughout the week.  I guess it makes sense to be Thursday this week if they’re sharing with Roskilde

olivia tour movie is out on netflix today.

i guess she will take the hype from it and annouce her tour in the next days.

maybe she's our next name?

It would make sense. Thursday or Saturday. If she announced Saturday it gives me reason to feel she might be doing 3 days in a row before hand.

It's Macca, Green Day, Olivia, Linkin Park. Did no one say?

Could we stop post 2-3-4-5 messages in row please? Edit. Or wait a bit before posting again.

About RW, I remember @Ken19 confirmed that we should have all headliners before ticket on sales in about a month. One headliner per week would make sense. It's too bad 30STM won't be there, I really enjoyed their show in Brussels a few months ago and thought they'll play massive festivals again next Summer but I guess Jared prefers smaller festivals to be able to headline and use more production.

Ermm, no.  No offence but if someone (I’ve done it a couple of times recently so it’ll be aimed at me) wants to, then it’s an open forum to do so.

Thanks for the input though

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
