Just playing Devil's advocate, with the exceptions of Foos last year and The Strokes ahead of their announcement for the 2020 festival, I cannot remember a single time Werchter has done a teaser for an announcement

Not really a teaser, but they always change the design on their socials before the first announcement. So we'll know for sure when the first name is imminent.

Based on some insider info from Festileaks, we can expect the first headliner to drop tomorrow! 👀 My bets are on Billie Eilish or Olivia Rodrigo.

Green day , Billie or Olivia is my bet.

Considering RW doesn't usually share headliners with primavera (right?), we can, sadly, probably, rule out LCD?

Seeing Jamie xx doing solo sets again also leads me to believe the xx aren't reuniting soon despite the rumors.

However, TV on The Radio might be a nice addition 🙂

And if the rumors about tomorrow are true - ill bet on either of the bilies

I'm going to guess Green Day, think they'll get the obvious one out of the way early.

Edit: I've only just seen the photo on Facebook confirming tomorrow's announcement (I stand corrected about my point re generating hype). Last year they hid a tiny Foo Fighters logo on someone's shirt in the crowd which no one picked up on. At a cursory glance I can't find anything on this year's but it might be hidden there somewhere...

TV on The Radio is probably the only one I want except for two DJs. I think with Amelie Lens being on there, she will get given a similar spot to Charlotte de Whitte from a couple of years back.

7am UK here we come.

Although now come up with

Hihi - has the 2 dots for FredAgain..
It’s also repeating itself - again
The barn is in the picture where he played last time
Oh and the man’s hat is done up with ..

(I need more sleep)

I had an early one. I don't think Fred will be on their mind as a first announcement

Green Day

Great start but not unexpected. I'd hazard a guess that Olivia has a gap on Wednesday after Manchester to play this or she's doing the Saturday. Doesn't change who the headliners are but with Billie being suggested as for BST then that 4 we've said could happen and I'd be there will bells and whistles on even if it did get like two days rest.

Leave Glastonbury Sunday night. Rest Monday and Tuesday, potentially head out to Belgium Wed and get a night in a hotel first and move in from there.

Billie isn’t being suggested for BST.  It’s actually Hugh Jackman, was mentioned weeks ago on Discord tbf.

We’re heading to Brussels weds for a piss up and then head over to Werchter first thing.  Need to get Hive tickets too.

    • First time for me, really enjoyed it. Nice venue, nice weather, good vibes, etc.   Notes on performances: CMAT's a great performer - seen her live twice now.  GANS are my favourite new act since Big Special, and live they're fantastic. Fellow Brummies too, so I'm all about that. The album's a bit disappointing though. Primal Scream were great, although I felt the crowd seemed a bit muted. The Libertines sounded knackered. Not sure they're suited to a festival. First time seeing The Royston Club, thought they were very good - the tent seemed to be full of kids on each others shoulders singing along. I'm all about that. First time seeing the K's, a bit disappointed. Didn't like his voice, and I felt like every song sounded the same as the last one. Sarajevo is a good tune, though. It still sounds like all the others, just a bit better.  The Maccabees and Two Door Cinema club were a but underwhelming, but Pelican by the Maccabees is a banger. It all sounded a bit Travis/Early Coldplay to me though. The Wombats took me by surprise - I expected 1 1/2 hours of 'Let's Dance to Joy Division' style indie-landfill, so I was surprised to hear that some of the rest of their stuff had dynamics and range. I still don't think they're any good, but I can't say they didn't surprise me either. Just not my thing.   Surprise of the weekend for me was Rizzle Kicks. Never listened to them before, but they got me out of my tent and into the arena as I was trying to nurse a hangover and I thought it was a blast.    Will probably go next year too.
    • Not really anything to say other than the fact I'm down at Opeth and this has been a cracking summer by and large here. Few duds, plenty of sellouts, strong weather, and the craft beer is cheaper than the regular bar. Winner winner, chicken dinner!
    • Pink Floyd night on sky arts time for me  to wallow in nostalgia and remember some incredible gigs
