You know it, and 90% of them don’t attend the festival either.

Probably fair - went in 2002 an stayed in the Facebook group to spread misery for the next 2 decades!!!!

Honestly when they write "Who" -  it literally kills me -

wait for the rest of whatever happens in north america and then compare it. Lollapalooza will drop in quality a third of the way down their poster for example. A lot will share all the same headliners. And theres easily another 50 acts missing from Coachella. Do Lab, Heineken House and Quasar have not announced their lineups and thats 3 stages right there. Quasar will def be the one to keep an eye on. Cause I wonder if they change the scheduling and let it go later into the night. And who doesnt want 3 hour dj sets.

this will def help the glasto conflicts though. Seeing Basement Jaxx and Prodigy would alleviate any glasto stuff. Even Beth Gibbons. So im always happy getting the rare stuff.

You asked us to wait for the Coachella drop so that's what I'm commenting on. Lolla 2024 had 2 big names for me, and most the undercard I like played here.

3 hr dj sets are okay from djs I like.

You could look at an English festival with a big name not getting on the Coachella lineup because over there it's not seen as a get and likewise.

The Prodigy was good to see on the lineup but they won't exactly not be about in England and the same for Basement Jaxx. Jaxx would be surprising not to be at Glastonbury given the gap in their tour.

Agreed mate, does my head in. We all have personal taste of acts we like, but we can educate ourselves and then make a decision based on that.

Would Jaxx top West Holts?

perfect slot for them

could also do woodsies though i reckon

re charli being a missed opportunity on pyramid -  she would benefit from night time a lot but could be a good shout for a repeat of the weird lizzo slot. i doubt they would do it again but maybe a shout

It's difficult to be certain - next year will be BJ's first live shows in 10 years.

I'd like to see them top WH but I'm quite old 🙂

The people who have not listened to any new music since 2006 are gonna scream the place down on social media -   But at some point they will just have to try something new.

It seems like such a great reason to check out some new artists - i only knew a couple of Kendrick Lamar tracks before he was announced as headlining, so i had a good old listen to all his albums before seeing him, and he's been on regular rotation for me ever since. Whoever gets announced will be getting a bash from me, even if ive previously written em off (Sam Fender, im looking at you) cos theyll be playing, and might be my new favourite artist ffs!

Have we done this?

Thats pretty solid, much better than last year.

Wonder how much they’re paying Gaga?

As usual, not very relevant to Glastonbury given the different time of year, location and approach to finances and value, but good overall.

I saw them almost exactly ten years ago at the Barrowlands. It's honestly one of my favourite gigs ever. Just a big party of positive energy. Would be difficult to resist seeing them at Glastonbury if they do headline somewhere, regardless of who they're up against.

Can't imagine Paramore topped by The 1975 or Olivia Rodrigo.

But still not convinced they would come either.

You never know, I mean look at QOTSA going up against Elton as an example - I'm surprised Josh even agreed to that

I still wonder how much Perry was paid for that. I knew her star was slightly on the wane, but it always felt a slightly insane booking.

She might’ve not been at her absolute PEAK around then, but she hadn’t tumbled nearly as much as she has now and was still headlining stadiums at the time - was a very big booking. People here were refusing to believe she wasn’t a sub and that The National were gonna go on after her. Shame she almost f**ked it by filling half the set with songs from a sh*t album nobody had heard yet.

    • Don Broco secret set.
    • Regarding PinkPantheress: I watched the ending of The Cure from the back and then bolted straight to Cupra to save spots on the steps for my entire festival crew. Thus, we all had a good experience there. Sucks that not everybody got to properly see it, but it felt like something out of Glastonbury where those who showed up long in advance got to see a big artist on a smaller stage in good conditions.
