welcome to the Coachella conundrum. $550 ( base price ) and youre expecting A listed every year. Its def getting there with Glasto cause if the price point. Doesnt matter if its about the "experience". 90% of everyone there wants those top 4 to matter. Its all optics.

Ac/Dc tour tomorrow so thatll clear something up

I'll clear it up for you now. ACDC aren't playing.

It really is. Even if they finish up going for Rodrigo, Fender and Again, tickets for those 3 in Arenas would comfortably set you back £200+

£200+ underselling it really. Rodrigo £120 at BST, Fender £80 on December tour, that's your £200 there. Dunno Fred Again prices (not my speed) but £250+ much closer.

O-Rod playing BST on Friday is the first evidence proving that ‘The Post’ is/was not correct….

It is, every chance though that photo was correct at some point though with BST not in the frame or something. I'm absolutely sure that Fred, Olivia and one of Rihanna, Stevie and if not Fender would have been in the frame. I messaged my friend ages ago when the odds first appeared saying I think Fender might do it hence I put a bet on at 6s.

Also, even Mcfcok believed originally although not totally solid that Olivia was the Friday. I would hazard a guess that she was the Friday and with Fred pulling out probably she could move to the Saturday which was an option anyway and more so with the BST booking. That's the theory. I think Fred would make more sense on the Saturday for the festival if they got Rihanna to split then up but I guess it comes down to more than that.

I probably value the experiences I’ve had at the festival with friends etc. much more than the acts I’ve seen, and those experiences remain priceless and unforgettable

All my friends just sod off and leave me, every time I've been. Swings and roundabouts.

I dunno its £30-40 to see academy size bands these days - so if you see 10 £40 sized acts - the you are quids in - and I could do that at Glastonbury in one day

£400 For Glastonbury is still incredible value regardless of if you watch headliners or not

Although i fully agree with this statement in terms of comparison to the cost of a gig these days. It does say more about the pricing structure of tickets (£100+ for stadiums, £80 for arenas and so on) when the grass roots venues are closing ten to the dozen.

I will always defend Glastonbury because its not just a performing arts festival, its also an experience like no other but its not really £400 is it. Most times my total spend is nearer £1000 than £400. To some people that really is a vast amount of money.

I could never spend that much but I can see how it could be done. I think the price comparison though like that reflects more on people that are willing to pay the structure involved now than anything. The fact we are still paying that price and getting more and more average lineups vs other acts bands we might want that won't agree to do it for the lesser fee because of what they can earn elsewhere says a lot more about it.

A bit like Dua Lipa and many now, Olivia will be a one and done. When you're on tier 3 pricing of BST within 20 minutes and it's only people with Amex cards that could buy that tells you she could have could do 2 easily.

Muse would indeed be very samey as a multi repeat booking. However I'd rather watch Muse any day of the week over Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo but that's just me. I like live bands and rock / indie music far more than Pop.

Don't think they will be playing though.

I'd watch Muse if it was an anniversary performance of any of the first 4 albums with a few greatest hits but their output has progressively got worse up until the last album which almost seemed to be a parody of their whole career.

I actually thought the last two albums were a big step up on the three before. Especially the last one.

The others still have their highlights too. I'd always happily hear the likes of Mercy, Madness and Undisclosed Desires.

    • Having watched Linkin Park's Rock am Ring set I'd imagine they've used a different stage specifically for their light show, its insane
    • Blink, Slipknot and Maiden
    • Good luck! Have you also registered your interest on Twickets? https://partners.twickets.live/endoftheroad/ 🙂
    • Likelihood is it'll be on Sunrise and Alcove but theres potential for some more in the tent as there have been 8 acts on some days in recent years. Obelisk is likely full now unless they have a few shorter sets thrown in   Im surprised they haven't had some secret sets thrown into the mix this time round unless they do and we find some gaps in the schedule is released
