has the other stage ever been shut off? only heard of it at park and woodsies which are way smaller. Capacity must be like 50k at least and it isn't an enclosed space

thought they shut off entrances last year for Avril but the entire thing I dont think so

did they?

there's so many entrances I can't see how that's possible.  all along the railway line, the glade, left field, silver hayes, through oxlyers tents...

people were being directed in certain ways weren’t they ? Maybe I imagined it but there was crowd management in place with bins in certain places being used

I'm not sure mate, I wasn't there... just wondered if it was practicable with so many ways in and out.

I think you hear a lot about charli on socials as those who are into her are really vocal about it - but honestly there will be a ton of people who arent really bothered as well. I would stop short of saying she has cross generational appeal.

When was the last time any headliner on a main stage (aside from elton) had any major crowd issues? It doesnt really happen. It wont for her either.

i would liken it to a chemical bros other headline set. Really busy and intense but nothing dangerous.

We were top right hand side of the field, there were stewards all done the track (as far as we could see anyway) who were stopping people come in to the field, so there was no way in from that side at least.

No The 1975 at the Big Weekend then.

I saw a claim on social media that Rodrigo is headlining more festivals then any other act has done in a calendar year. Surely nonsense, right?

Maybe the 1975 are Glastonbury as a one off

I assume you are talking in jest.

Nope.

Rod will all likely have the biggest crowd as legends often have second biggest at least and have topped the lot. There is also a lot of competition for headliners on Saturday and Sunday.

1975 have a pretty clear run. It won't be Elton-esque, but it will be VERY healthy.

    • Really well done, Primavera. Maybe the biggest name on the lineup as a surprise. (Ecpecially if Robert joins this)
    • There's one way it can get bigger- if Robert Smith joins her on stage
    • I see what you’ve done there.  If they stick with an electronic opener I reckon it would be someone more “radio friendly”. Rudimental, FBS etc
