I suppose all the ‘journalist’ had to do was look through social media or check our rumours page. Lazy journalism to get a story that’s probably true but definitely not some sort of exciting exclusive

and I still want Sam Fender!

Presume they wouldn't go until they were certain they wouldn't look absolutely daft, even though much of their work is indeed fiction.

It's been near enough certain since mid November. The only doubt has been people who didn't like it and so tried to come up with reasons why it wouldn't be them, or manifesting that it'd be someone else.

You would presume if it is now 100% (I don’t want it to be either btw) and what their source is saying about another “surprise” huge band is true , then we can expect the line up next week?

To the 1975 haters in here who obviously have no taste in great music. Listen up. Matty Healy and his band are going to blow away this festival in front of 120k gob smacked punters. They are without question the best live act this country has produced in the last 25 years. Miss their gig you will be missing out history in the making. There is nobody else to choose from, AC/DC past it, GNR past it, Arctic Monkeys national embarrassment god dam awful live. Unless Freddie Mercury rises from the grave this is the best band you will ever likely to see live.

Well, it's your opinion and you're entitled to it... complete bobbins of course, but I think the downvotes were unnecessary! 🙂

Yeah, I upvoted, despite him saying ACDC are past it, which was proven not to be the case last summer...and I don't think there will be 120k there...and I don't think it will be history in the making. As a fairly neutral bod in the 1975 sphere, I will probably be one of them, intrigued and happy to be gobsmacked if that is what is in the offing.

Aye. It's a fair shake with any act you see. Let you discover their live attraction for yourself.

I like The 1975 and seen them five times and think they are very good but best live act, really? Granted they are good but they would struggle to make my top 100.

If you think they are that good, I would suggest you go to more gigs as there are so many better acts. The 1975 is a lowish bench mark to be judging best live act from.

Although, I do agree they are going to be much better then people who have never seen them live before expect. However, if someone does not like indie or pop, they will not enjoy them full stop.
