Rod at least has good songs. Robbie doesn't.

Absolute nonsense.

Feel, No Regrets, Karma Killer, Come Undone, Phoenix from the Flame.... not to mention a Sunday Pyramid reaction and singalong to Angels, Millennium and She's the One...

How many covers will Rod throw in compared to what Robbie would need to?

And the important bit.... can still sing.

They're all shite. Besides, they're all Guy Chambers covers.

Quality over quantity

i mean Kendrick really proved that. He fit in everything you would want to hear cause he has that many good songs and mixed in the new record on top of that without issue. Thats gonna be the thing if Swift ever does it. Was the crowd going to stand and pay attention through her current 3 hour set knowing 5 songs tops? And people scoffed at the idea of Rihanna playing. She had a dozen legit hits before streaming became a  thing for the charts. Thats half a show right there.

Seem to recall the first chat about Fender was that he was replacing Fred again.. on the Friday.

I don't actually think there's been anything else? When news broke on The 1975 being in instead, he nominally should have fallen out of the conversation - but the sheer size, the existing dates, the clamour and the lack of any obvious supporting proof behind other Sunday night contenders and rumours - be it Stevie Wonder, Eminem, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, whoever - means he seems to have just remained at the top of the bubble.

Primal Scream opening the Pyramid…? Scissor Sisters on the Park would certainly be something as well.

I was so disappointed with Primal in 2022 on JP. I'd last seen them on Other in 2011 (which was absolutely PHENOMENAL!) but this performance was really, really weak.

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
