The following things should be left to professionals performing at the festival:

  • Juggling
  • Hula-hooping
  • Fancy dress

The latter went down well last time we had one of these threads.

Leftfield is full of champagne socialist and is a bit shit

The John Peel stage hasn't been renamed Woodsies just so it matches the field name

They should take more risks when booking headline slots with more breaking artists rather than the usual boring "superstars"

This 110%

Can't be emphasized enough. This years choice of Pyramid headliners is dreadful.

I know amateur musicians who are better than some professionals, even inc some big stars

Its not about who is better, it’s about whether other people want to have their conversation interrupted by someone who has decided to whip their guitar out and demand everyone’s undivided attention

2 - Fancy dress: although I'd not dress up, I see it as part of festivals and it'd be a shame if no-one did

Houghton nobody does fancy dress. Lost village the fancy dress is just plain pretentious.

Glastonbury is a nice level.

Most of it is fancy dress though. Not sure I walk around most places on any given day I see people dressed like they do at festivals.

I know what you mean. But in summer, (assuming good weather) I always walk round looking like Man from Millets in shorts.

My better half; she does sequins, glitter and the lot.

Another unpopular opinion (maybe) I think glitter beards look quite funny. 😀

Not sure the theme of the thread and execution has been successful. Just appears a lot people getting old and wanting to tell other people what they should and shouldn't like.

I do however have a big fkin issue with those who say mud is good. Ya planks
