No

But he'll be absolutely rammed when subbing vs headline slot when people are at AM, arcadia, south east corner etc.

absolutely screams fred again marketing

he'd be fine against AM 100%

Might not think his show is up for it yet is another point, its hardly up to scratch vs other recent dance headliners

100% this.  Very clever, sunset slot and tbf he’ll probably end up somewhere that night too.

He played a similar time at APE last August and could easily have headlined that.

That was kind of different though as he grew massively since the booking - even two months before the fest he was pretty unheard of and that tent was just not suitable

subbing other will be no problem

he was apparently booked originally for Woodsies headline I was told

We had info on both of those things happening before we even got the lineup so pretty sure that’s what’s gonna happen. Fred is obviously the bigger act at this point, but tbf his set will probably lend itself perfectly to a sunset slot so I don’t really see an issue with it (other than Wizkid just being an odd Other headliner to begin with, but y’know…)

That's what I was thinking. I'd never heard of him tbh, not that I'd heard of Meghan Thee Stallion either last year, but at least she's got the numbers to back it up. Wizkid just seems massively misplaced. Another Christine and the Queens I foreshadow.

Megan couldn't sell out a Brixton night to be fair, while Wizkid did 3 nights at the o2 and is doing Tottenham stadium to be fair

both strange bookings, just don't suit such a big slot with glasto's current crowd i think

It says he's playing on the Friday on his website.

Already dreading the crowd churn between the other stage and pyramid if it's true

They may be looking for a Sunday Other headliner after QOTSA d@bbed down, so the Lil Nas X move isn't too unlikely

For sure, and opens up a slot for Pulp though ideally, Lizzo into Elton would be a sunday night for the ages

Eh?

swear we know lol nas is supporting Elton

didn’t Fred say he was playing Friday

Yeah we know both of these things as almost certainty. Moving Lil Nas opposite Elton just wouldn’t make sense at all - they’ll replace QOTSA directly, even with a weaker booking, if they have to rather than moving Lil Nas around.

    • 13th Primavera (Thursday was definitely making me feel like this was the cursed year).  Blood Orange was such a party by the end of their set but we all knew that rain storm was approaching.  So gutted Massive Attack didn't play after the false hope of a new rescheduling, especially knowing that Elizabeth Fraser & Horace Andy were backstage with them!  Managed a bit of Melt Banana but was just so over the weather by that point.   Friday was awesome, Rilo Kiley were so much fun.  Never been the biggest Cure fan but made the effort for them after Thursday & Robert Smith sounds like he did back in the 80s.  PinkPantheress & Viagra Boys were also great.   The highlight for me was Sudan Archives on the Saturday, she was stunning & with the Olivia Rodrigo surprise set too it made up for the Thursday sh*t show.  Dijon & Knocked Loose also superb.   Shoutout to Cardiacs on the Tuesday too, they were so LOUD, played a storming set.
    • OK, never mind, I'll take normal Nine Inch Nails.
    • Probably my least favourite of the five editions I've been to, but still plenty good enough for me to go again. Weirdly, I was just totally running out of stamina a lot earlier into the night than I remember happening in the past. I feel like I missed a lot of the weirder sets on the smaller stages as I was just totally cooked. Not Primavera's fault, obviously. Maybe I'm just getting old - or maybe I need to pace my drinking better...   Anyway - is David Byrne a realistic get for next year? Certainly hoping so.
    • watching clips of the cure in Barcelona, wow 2 hours 25 minute set. That's gonna be tough on the Sunday but can't bloody wait for it
