Yeah they’re gonna have a noticeably smaller crowd than most of our most recent legends. Even their biggest hits aren’t exactly massive tunes known by everybody. I’m sure More Than This will sound familiar to a lot of people for its use in a lot of TV etc, and maybe a couple more for similar reasons, but they were always kind of a niche act even at their peak weren’t they? Doubt many people in the lower age ranges are gonna give a toss about them.

Pretty popular in the mainstream for a while circa Avalon and that - but didn't subsequently pick up lots of new fans the way Bowie did.

Highly doubt any of our lot will have heard of them, i hadn't until about 3 days ago. Hardly making waves on spotify either vs other recent legends. I'm sure there will be something else good against them though but shame as i do want to see a legend and decided to skip Ross this year. 3rd time the charm maybe

Setlist pretty much my cup of tea - missing a few biggies, but a lot of my late-era faves I had assumed would be overruled by the rest of the band - Oh YeahSame Old Scene - look to be in the mix.

Off to the Manchester date next month - and given I will be out of the country next summer, moot for me. But if it is, do hope everyone there has a bloody good time.

Might be the festival have decided to reset expectations for the “Legends” slot somewhat.

As has previously been discussed on here, they’re running out of upbeat megastar acts, with a 30+ year history of hits, who are willing to take a Sunday afternoon slot vs fully headlining…

I dunno. It's not like ELO prompted any great shift.

ELO could plausibly have been expected to be a good fun singalong, I guess. But then the performance was a bit flat & the audience soaking wet & exhausted from four days of mud. 🙃

We don't know for sure Roxy Music are the "legend", even if they have been booked for the Sunday afternoon they could play before or after the official legend slot, in the past we have had Patti Smith followed by Lionel and Barry Gibb followed by Chic, both additional acts could be classed as "legends". There could be an additional legend to come!
