What do people who’ve been before expect the ticket sale to be like this Friday? Will it be a Glasto style scrum or will it be more relaxed?

They were due to play an APE day last year but had to pull out due to Stu being ill. Hopefully that means they have booked them again

if you want a lower tier for field day might be best to find someone you know with an amex to buy for you - strokes is one price and took months to sell out last time

4 makes no sense. It’s a major cost to set up the infrastructure, why not use it?

Better not to not use it than have days like the national where they are probably making a loss.

Focus on fri/sat instead of putting on thursdays for example

What evidence is there that they made a loss for The National day? 
 

I was there and it was far from empty and there weren’t free tickets doing the rounds unlike in previous years.

If Stormzy and Field Day are anything to go by, it'll be going up in tiers.

I guess it depends what’s in the sponsorship contracts. I don’t think that we will ever get a glimpse at the economics of this festival but I suspect that a lot of it is driven by putting the right punters in front of the sponsors.

Jamie XX in 2021 was definitely tiered pricing too, not sure it was a particularly big change between prices though.

Field Day goes from about £50 to almost £100 - the other days start high to begin with i guess

2 shows last year undersold and to run the days is more costly.

Strokes day looks appealing but have frankly 0 interest in Stormzy and only a passing interest in 3/4 on the Field Day lineup, so might not even go this year. Shame as it has been one of my favourite festivals over the past few years with their lienups.

ah damn...i was expecting M83 to turn up here....i have no idea where they are going to play as no dates yet, unless its Glasto which would make sense

if it does turn out to be just The Strokes day bank holiday weekend then I will not feel so bad about missing out and going to Victorious. Although, that Strokes day does look damn fine.
