Who were they?  I looked at the day split images and there's 3 or 4 clues not on them so assumed they hadn't been announced.

I presumed the Game Boy thing was Video Games for Lana but… someone said it was some random act.

Yeah but dudes gotta play other gigs right. Like he played some Scandinavian fest the last time he did his one or two shows in the US.

He's got a new album this year supposedly.

Seems like something impossible, and I don’t think he would come to Mad Cool if he’s coming to Spain, Primavera Sound would pay him a big money to show up, it’s something else for sure, probably Lana.

I'm hoping miley isn't one of the headliners, as I camt really go this year but that would sway me. Would defo expect a female headliner, with only one female and one non binary headliner  announced so far.

I also expect a female band or an artist as all the big names in the lineup are male besides Lizzo, and she's not even a headliner in her day?

Lorde could be a possibility but she seems too small for the festival, Lana seems more reasonable. As people mentioned, it could an american act announcing tour dates, cause I don't understand the late announcement.

Lana del Rey tour band hinted a Spring/Summer tour to be announced soon, seems a bit too late to announce a solo tour now so festivals seem more feasible, she already has some concerts in Australia and Brazil

And to be fair we could have been wrong about the Nintendo hint and could still mean Lana. However it is unlikely because they used that on the Saturday poster.

I think we just have very high expectations, it will probably something like Stormzy or Mumford and Sons

Is Lana high expectations? No offence to her. Taylor Swift would be high expectations, LDR is medium expectations at most

I mean high expectations in terms of artists that are touring around, Stormzy and Mumford and Sons are and they seem like a more safe choice, and I do believe that they would attract much less people than her.

Damn, Lana actually has 40 mill monthly listeners which is more than RHCP… that’s shocking to me. I have never known anyone who’s a fan of her.

She’s not bigger than RHCP ofc, but if you put her as a headliner on the second day, she is definitely bigger than QOTSA, Black Keys and Sam Smith. You cannot say the same about Stormzy or Mumford and Sons, that’s why having her would bring a lot of people.

    • TOP 10 acts (top 5 in bold😞   Blood Orange (ciutat)   Guitarricadelafuente   Oklou - Looks like I'm capable of enjoying music in the rain after all, just not the whole night.   Rilo Kiley   The Cure   Jade   Depresión Sonora   Gelli Haha (Parc del Forum) - Her music never really clicked with me. Until I saw her live.   MARINA   Six Sex (ciutat) - I was shocked how supersmall the venue was and that almost everyone (except for me) knew every word of every song (including the ones that were released this weekend!).   Honorable mention:   Ashnikko - missed the first 15 minutes (because of Gelli Haha) and I'm not really a fan of her music, but the show was an absolute blast.
    • Totally agree about PinkPantheress stage choice. 'Luckily' for me, one of my main targets, fakemink, was absolutely awful, meaning that I left early and was in a surprisingly good spot at Cupra before it got totally packed.
    • As many said before, not my favourite Primavera. sh*tty weather is something I'm not really used to when enjoying music. Poor communication (more than 1 hour long radio silence during the worst rain) didn't help, but the main problem was me. I decided to leave the venue after things seemed to be getting back to normal. Massive Attack were supposed to play again (with Hymn of the Big Wheel back on the setlist!) as were all other artists on the smaller stages (including Fcukers with one my favourite albums of the year). FOMO was at an all-time high. However, after 4 hours in the rain, I had to admit to myself that I'm not cut out for this. I wasn't even that soaked (water-proof jacket worked). I was just fed up with the rain, wind and cold and wasn't able to enjoy music anymore.   Also, they should stop ignoring the growth of some artists between signing them up and their actual performance. Both PinkPantheress and Ninajirachi sets were ruined for me by completely inadequate stage choice.   However, I felt very much the same way after the 2022 edition and have thoroughly enjoyed all subsequent editions. So I'm still buying early bird tickets for 2027 and hoping this was a hiccup not the start of a downward trend.
    • I will definitely be buying a 2027 early bird pass, partially because of the priority reservation privileges for the Ciutat sets. Hopefully the organization will take action to improve upon this year's failings. Because I thought the free water options and sound quality were an improvement over last year, so clearly they can actually implement positive changes.   I also hope all the douchebag chompers get in the sea, cause I was more bothered by them than in the past few years.   Highlights: The Cure, Ninajirachi, Knocked Loose, Current 93, Blood Orange.
