The problem is not the money it's their set. I have seen them live, they can't do that sh*t in a festival. Plus, they like their music ridiculously loud, I also don't think they could do that.

Actually I support this for one big reason. Chester cannot be replaced. No matter who they get, the GUY will be compared to Chester non stop. yeah surprisingly nice additions. On another note: Could the announcement be very close? I have worked in marketing for quite some times, these types of materials get made very close to the actual announcement since they generally all get made in one batch and you want to avoid making changes. Edit: especially that the artist himself got the material. I think announcement coming next week.

Nah, they are referring to the usual “Hungarian acts” announcement which is usally the last round of announcements. Some Revolut stage names and some smaller stages. But it kinda enraged me that they are teasing the freaking Hungarian announcement when theys till have missing main stage names haha

It would be buffling to me if they didn't announce a Foo Fighters / Bille Eilish / Ed Sheeran / Justing Bieber level headliner for the last spot, on the other hand it would also be buffling for them to leave such big name for so late, where most people have bought their festival tickets I assume.

were you in the UK for that festival? Also if you are right in the front I guess any artist will have people singing in the front. I think Spotify is not a great representation because many people might not go and purposefully listens to them now but I’m helluva sure they still know at least 5-6 somgs because they were huge on MTV, and everyone in my generation just knows these somgs by heart. On a seperate note Coachella audeince does look horrible to me I would never go.

What do you mean? No Doubt is American so obvs they know them better than Blur, and No Doubt has 6-7 hits, Blur literally has one song that anyone knows outside the UK. Or I am misunderstanding what you are saying.

Don’t worry I wasn’t having a go or anything just pointg out that the Hungarian youth are not doimg very well unfortunately. When I was U21 I either went for one day I really liked, or there were a few years when I went as a worker so I worked in some days and got a free pass. Sometimes I had Shifts from 8pm to 8am, had a few hours sleep then off to party. Good times! 🙂

Young People in Hungary earn about 500 eur a month, so telling them to spend even above 200 euros for the festival that btw has garbage lineup and plus food will be another 200… not a great pitch for them either unless mummy and daddy pays for them.

He is defo sub. Last year we had subs like AJR, Carson Coma, Yung Lean. One huge hit song is enough for sub spot at Sziget.
