Should know by the end of the day if GNR are going to be filling one of those slots by the end of the day. The fact that Mad Cool normally can’t shut up when it’s announcement time makes me think it’s not happening

Is the tour announcement coming today?

I saw it’s coming sokn but did not see a date.

Rumors announced they'll play Mad Cool on 7th, a show in Netherlands on 11th and Paris on 13th. Announcement at 3pm.

Where are these rumors from? It certainly looks odd that there is no “announcement of announcement” from Mad Cool yet if they were to be announced today.

Weird. So still nothing for this last headliner...

I think it must have been Billie Eilish and they’re scrambling for a replacement. Would be surprised if it’s not Mumford and Sons now, but that’s just a hunch. Think that’s me officially not doing any European festivals this year for the first time since 2014 (covid excluded obviously). So so many good bands touring next year and not one festival seems to have been able to cobble them all together into a half decent line up

I wouldn't rule out GnR to be honest, their tour hasn't got Glastonbury on there which Duff leaked they were playing.

Playing in Italy on July 8th and they’re playing another date in Madrid in June. They’re definitely out.

They don't play 2 dates in a row and they are in Italy on July 8th. And they already have a show in Madrid for June 9th.. so there're 0% left to see them at Mad Cool.

The show at Glastonbury rumored on June 24th is not announced today indeed but you can see there're a 6 days gap on their actual routing, perfect for the festival. I'm pretty sure Glastonbury is the only show left to announce for Europe.

I'm starting to think they don't know the names of these two mystery headliners...

Very likely. I am almost certain that back in december they alluded to the fact that the next announcement is coming in January. It's now close to end of February and not a word. I guess in december they didn't lose Billie yet and since then they have been searching for a new headliner.

I'm still hoping for Limp Bizkit for the Saturday slot though.

It’s not only the two headliners I’d be worried about. To me it appears they have not been successful in securing who they wanted and are scrambling. This isn’t great but also was expected.

However, if you type in new madcool space in Google maps - someone took pics of it last month and this week.

Now, I don’t want to be accused of stereotyping but Spain don’t really do anything quickly.

That land is miles away from being in any condition to hold a festival on. There are also petitions in place for it to even happen.

Welcome to the world of mad cool festival 😂😂

Mumford & Sons (who were going to play in 2021) and Stormzy (who was going to play in 2022) seems like the most logical choices for the remaining 2 headliner slots.

Maybe Mad Scramble Festival would have been more appropriate?

It wouldn't be the first time that Mad Cool simply bumps up an artist from the first row to headliners... It would be a shame, but I'm super suspicious that the Saturday slot is going to JamieXX or Years and Years (sorry, I'm a bit pessimistic giving the festival history so far).

Btw, FIB which takes place a week later than MC just announced The Offspring

    • Hi Everyone!   I need your help. I'm trying work out who was playing at The Wishing Well at 3am on the Monday morning at the 2025 festival - this was once the official setlist had ended. The music was down tempo, bass heavy, kept evolving, just mesmerising. Anyone have any ideas? and/or was there as well?

    • Interesting to read. It's mostly why we stopped going a few years back even though it's the nearest big festival to home. The post-exams timing and location makes it a rites of passage first festival for people in a big area. Understandably that leads to a bit of giddiness. Think lineup would need to be a lot more my cup of tea to be enticed back. Friends who are there are having a good time tho and no rain is a good thing for up there.
