I was stuck at gate A for about 4 hours last year, and I arrived by coach 😞

Isn't part of the sell for coach packages that you get quicker entry as reward for reduced carbon emissions?

Avoided the cluster fuck at gate A early this morning by the sounds of it but no searches or pat downs. Was only asked if I had any glass. 
 

Might be diff now but couldn’t see any vigorous searching going on anywhere.

It’s just to keep the buses flowing I’m sure … there’s nothing advertised as such it’s just how it works

Just in through Gate D - took about 20 mins all in. Queue only starts in the zig-zag / snake but pretty speedy. Parked in Pink, gave Gate A a miss based on comments on here - a little longer to walk to Wicket but prefer to be on site!

Me too. I haven't left yet. I'm two hours away and I'm keeping an eye on this thread for when things start to improve. I'd much rather spend another two hours chilling here at home instead of being stuck in a queue at 27°C with no shade. I'll also have two kids with me so I need to think of them.

We’ve just got in- if you have proof you are in the campervan field- need a photo of your pass you can by pass the queue and go straight down to gate c!!

We’re getting the coach Taunton at 3:45 just wondering if we have to join the back of the winding snake gate A queue or is there a separate one for coach heads? 🤒

All self inflicted. Took an hour or so in the baking morning sun. In hindsight I should have queued up carrying nothing, got my wrist band then gone back to get my stuff.

Around 4:30. Chilled until 7:30 then started to move. Our neighbours have just rocked up with no troubles at all

Surely it's not worth the risk taking stuff in. Get caught by security they might confiscate it. Get sniffed by a police dog and you're getting arrested surely?
