I have been using some of the Access facilities since 2011, this year is my first time in their dedicated camp site. They are a wonderful bunch who run it and make it very inclusive. 😀

I’ve been using it for the last few years with my husband - it’s a fantastic site with great crew - might see you there!

Thinking about it I very much doubt we'd get it, and tbh I'm not sure I'd want to see it. It's actually quite a big security risk if that level of detail leaks. I'm thinking more counter terror rather than fence jumping.

You know, to keep the mood light.

True.  Would be nice to have a look out though

I've been sent some more info on the crew map. I received the crew map again, which is as above and lacking detail we'd expect.

However, it was accompanied by a sheet with a list of stages and venues and grid references to enable the map bearer to locate them.

On this sheet was The Wormhole, which we were told wasn't back this year. Now it could be that it's been left on in error, and I think this most likely, however, the grid reference directs you to a location slightly further south than The Wormhole's 2019 location - it appears to be in the wooded area which separates the 'above the park' area from the top of the Tipi Field.

The webcam has shown us extra fencing going into that area, and there has been some activity there, so could the Wormhole be back as a secret venue?

Edit: There are quite a few surprises on there - e.g. Samula still there, so I suspect it's a case of this document being really inaccurate.

I wpuld say it's okd because it still shows the Glade main stage at T25 - previous location.

BBC introducing is at a new location though (L 24, was J 22)

Unless they've just update certain areas and this is still draft?

It says Arcadia’s spider too so it’s either 2017 or new!

Got an update on the wormhole for those interested…

It’s definitely gone, but being replaced by a new venue called Spinney’s - described by a fairly senior member of Park area staff as “a bar of sorts”.

I’m in this camp.

On the assumption that whoever made that list just pasted in new information and didn't delete any old stuff out of caution/lack of clarification, I'm thinking the Glade Stage is in the trees and the Dome is the marquee. Too late to update the Green Welfare tube map banner but I've updated the versions here if anyone wants 'em for themselves:

    • Yeah I did spot that AXS had more available for the O2 shows Muse are doing, though I think that comes with the territory of AXS now being the venue's primary ticket selling platform.    My instinct remains they'll probably still play to a big crowd on the night - sales were similarly slow in 2023 but videos of those gigs showed the venue looking pretty much full. Equally it probably would be sold out if the pricing was even just slightly less ridiculous. Shave up to £50 off some of these categories and I think that would've got people to go with it.
    • Some are definitely already there with that and with another round of inflation looking like it's on the way, it certainly locks that in. And I say that as someone who also isn't willing to break the £100 marker.
    • A lot of people have said this online but does the Marvel world need new cities to play with? New York seems to be a target of all the villains to the point where you wonder why anyone in that world still lives there. Much as you can accuse me of overthinking it I guess haha.    I do agree that The Void is a compellingly different villain in many respects given the superpower is trapping people in their most traumatic memories. Shame in some respects the film came out in the post-Endgame funk Marvel seems stuck in and a lot of people missed out on it.    Speaking of, I rewatched Infinity War the other day. First time I think I've seen it since seeing it in the cinema on its opening day. Holds up pretty well imo - I have issues sometimes with ensemble casts and jumping between 4/5 storylines but it felt this one got the balance right and also properly explored Thanos. So it was good.
    • I didn't think I'd ever watched a Coben adaptation or read one of the original books, though turns out I did - I watched one called The Stranger back in 2020. Clearly didn't stick long in my memory as until researching it, I didn't know that was one of his. Queens Gambit or Black Mirror, it was not.    But clearly it's popular tripe in some respect if Netflix is going yes to everything he has to offer and are apparently about to start trying his most popular individual character, as seen below:   https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2026/jul/30/how-harlan-coben-became-the-king-of-potboiler-tv   Plus hey. Sometimes people get a kick from watching something and deriding it as crap. Don't let this internet rando stop you haha
