Secret sets 2022

Feels very wide open at the moment. Lots of acts I think could show up. Arcade Fire at coach may indicate they are doing a run of festival secret sets. Also with the rumours of Harry showing up there are lots of possibilities.

Just seen that Peter Kay is doing his DJ danceathon shows. Potential secret set at Glasto?

I know he likes his festivals but the sole purpose of them events is raising money for charity.

You could wheel him out between legend slot, and the next act set up with a text number on the screen.. highly unlikely tho

In case we noticed that a new unknown act had appeared with the stage times. Isn't that a dead giveaway?

Doesn’t it happen every year though that the stage times include previously unannounced acts? Including pseudonyms on occasion?

Not saying you’re wrong, just trying to wrap my head ‘round the logic of it.

I guess there are always some late additions, but they're always more conspicuous. To be honest, I don't know that the logic does make all that much sense, it's arty people doing arty things.

But Miserably Dressed? It just sounds so fake. It's like a crossword puzzle, not a band name. Even if there was a mild web presence, I'd be suspicious.

I’ve just done a bit of digging around using search terms including “miserably dressed” and variations of music, album, critic, review, as I can imagine a band using this as a pseudonym in response to it being used as a criticism and do you know what…

I turned up nothing. Apart from the synopsis of a Steve Buscemi film 🤷‍♂️

    • Interesting to read. It's mostly why we stopped going a few years back even though it's the nearest big festival to home. The post-exams timing and location makes it a rites of passage first festival for people in a big area. Understandably that leads to a bit of giddiness. Think lineup would need to be a lot more my cup of tea to be enticed back. Friends who are there are having a good time tho and no rain is a good thing for up there.
    • I honestly didn't know it had, I still thought it was where the view overlooked the lake and view.   I think my decision not to attend this year at least was justified. Biffy was the big draw but after Finsbury I knew they wouldn't play what I want to hear again and well work also got in the way. Believed interesting to hear if Libertines were any good as they were also a pull but Sunday did nothing for me really with all my acts on Friday and Saturday.

    • Knocked Loose have been announced for Wacken, that's them at Bloodstock as well   I think they'd headline over Malev
    • I hate tradmill running with a passion lol. Yeah the 1km reps are the one along with hill reps. That's what I did last time.  It's very a very hot summer and job circumstances to stay at the consistent level I was for the marathon earlier in the year. I've got a full set of the main distance new PBs this year. 10k isn't a problem most days but even today I went out deciding just over 5 mile was enough between recovery cruise and steady.
