Stalls is unreserved standing. It just has Row/Seat numbers to differentiate between tickets. Standard practice for Ticketmaster

Nova Twins tonight at the Amersham Arms, New Cross. The gig was part of Independent Venue Week, I know they are not a huge band but still very nice to catch them in a small venue and it always feels better spending your cash at  a venue like the Amersham then some corparate barn.

 

A very enjoyable gig, they played for around an hour and the  set was mainly from the last album Parsites & Butterflies. Still surprised they are not bigger then they are.

Miles Kane at Crookes Social Club, Sheffield, support from Villanelle. Great night, high energy as always from Miles. He did 9 from the new album, and a lot of people singing along to them already.

Good to hear they're still putting on a good show, I started losing interest by the 3rd album, the 1st one is an all timer but they kind of drifted away from that sound. 

 

Not a criticism btw, life would be boring if everyone just repeated their debut, but sometimes a band doesn't take you with them.

Craig Finn at Night and Day Cafe, Manchester last night. 

 

An absolute master storyteller, he did a 30 minute solo set, acting as his own support, then came back with The Band of Forgiveness for another 1hr 45.

 

Brilliant stuff, like a more mellow appetiser for The Hold Steady in March.

Dream Wife, Yes Pink Room as part of independent venues week.  Mostly a new material gig -  A lot of it went down a absolute storm.  Sometimes crowds are a bit cold to material they have not heard before hand but the room was receptive. 

 

Some of the A material especially F.U.U. at the end of gig had the room absolutely bouncing -  bought this ticket immediately after the last time i saw them -  because without a doubt they are absolutely superb performers.   If you get the chance to see them take it.  When it comes to bands you can see for £20 i doubt there are many better.

I saw them in Leeds on Tuesday having bought ticket based on recommendation on here. Didn't really know too much of their stuff so didn't always know what was new but I enjoyed it with great atmosphere and was bouncing for certain songs.

Glad you enjoyed it - they are pure fun Rakel is a top tier front person,   I will be almost certainly going to album tour whenever that happens

Suede at Portsmouth Guildhall tonight excellent gig. Brett Anderson on top form - always gives 110% as frontman  and rest of the band solid as usual. Crowd was great too - could have heard a pin drop during the 2 of us when Brett sang off mike so top marks for no talking throughout the gig ( there was talking during support Bloodworm though) 

helpfully put words to the choruses on the back screen for the newer songs 😀

if you can manage to get a ticket for this Anti- depressants tour then do!

I remember being really impressed by them at All Points East in 2019 but never got round to seeing them again. Feels like it's worth dipping a toe in the pool again if they tour later this year I take it?

Not been to anything so far in 2026. Florence and the Machine in Birmingham next Sunday is the target for gig number one.

 

So I guess one of my projects this week will involve lots and lots of checking of AXS or Twickets to see if anything pops through.

No confirmed tour - but they the playing of 7 or 8 new songs was about selecting the tracks for a new album so I assume there will be one when that is announced but no idea of timescales  -   So it was a educated guess that there will be another one coming, but i guess it depends on how far along with the album thing are.

 

But yeah - never spoken to anyone who has seen them live wether previously aware of there music or not.

Impromptu gig to see Disgusting Sisters at Manchester's Rat & Pigeon with @Gnomicide and @Keithy of this parish. Tiny venue, no more than 30 people in there I reckon. Good fun, don't take themselves too seriously. And always good to see bands in small venues, especially during IVW

glad to see this report, i have my ticket for norwich in a couple of weeks, super excited to see one of my favourite bands from my teen years that i lost touch with until the most recent two albums

Jah Wobble and Invaders of the Heart last Thursday at the Parish in Huddersfield.  Excellent gig from a legendary performer, great mix of musical genres and a tight band, plenty of banter too!

Suede in Sheffield soon, can't wait!

First gig of the year and it was a good old indie landfill anniversary one. Went to see Maximo park last night at York Crescent as their warm up gig for the tour. Didn't play the album in full which I enjoyed and mixed in other songs from their other albums and a couple of rarer songs.
For a warm up show they gave 100%

Ash at Scala last night - first gig of the year for them (and me!) and it was a really good one. Genuinely love their energy, and the old songs sound as good as they ever did. Makes me feel young again! New material also sounding great, and now the crowd know some of the songs from the new album it’s sounding even better.

Unusually quiet for me this year, on the gig front.

 

I grabbed two tickets for the Gorillaz tour warm-up shows the other day but, aside from that - I've got nothing.

 

Sure stuff will soon pop up, but it's eerily quiet for me at the moment.
