Totally different festivals, opener is more in line with werchter.

I've always looked at open'er, the shocking alcohol policy in the arena puts me off and kills the festival vibe and spirit.

i never went to that festival for that reason ... not being able to drink beer during concerts is absurd

Unfortunately, this is due to national regulations. Opener can't do anything about it.

Poles said it's the same (or even worse) at another Polish festivals, it's a bit of a shame. I have to say that after initial shock our pack kinda got used to it. Though it still came as a surprise during our other visits at Open'er.

As weird as it is, I wouldn't say it kills the festival vibe. Comparing to Sziget Open'er is way more focused on music than on "experience". And the atmosphere at the festival is very nice, even though surely less unique that on the island.

I would expect announcement more somewhere in the middle of April, when the festival is 4 months away, if even not later. The daily splits are up, tickets are selling... no need to hurry IMO. Also, they were often teasing or replying to comments with "lineup soon", can't see any of these now.

I agree Liam is probably not realistic, i'm kind of putting my hopes up for Glass animals at this point. First aid kit, Girl in red, Aurora, Wet leg, Gayle are some of the names touring around at the time i'm hoping for that may be realistic

Liam was in the same night and I missed wolf Alice in the tent as they were stuck on at the same time.  I just thought the same acts the same nights made me think it would not be him but you can't rule him out.

Fingers crossed for him and wolf Alice but not the same night again 😂😂😂

Any chance of Paolo Nutini?

He's doing early summer it seems so far (TRNSMT, Glastonbury TBA and a show glastonbury thursday). Given his hiatus I can't see him being too well known in Hungary - already in the UK he gets far far bigger slots in Scotland.

Probably a no but who knows 🙂

Just saw he’d been announced for Lollapalooza Berlin which is September and he’s been drip feeding show announcements over the last few weeks. Thought it may coincide if we’re due new names soon, could be the missing sub headliner?

Possibly then - given his Lolla Berlin slot he definitely won't be co-headlining though. 6th down there which is a slot below Anne Marie who looks to be subbing Tame Impala on the Sunday.

Maybe The Chemical Brothers could be added? The lineup looks strong enough to me that no extra headliners will be announced to be honest.

    • Yesterday was another brilliant day of music for me. Some highlights:  My Bloody Valentine - absolutely loved it! Maybe my main festival highlight. I felt submerged in the music with all the layers and distortion. It becomes hypnotic almost as it progresses. Not as loud as some thought it might be, but it didn’t need to be. The visuals added a lot too. During the noise part of You Made me Realise, I was basically in a trance staring at the visual tunnel or whatever it was on screen. Amazing experience. Little Simz - as she mentioned at the start, you’re guaranteed a good time with her. Great performance just like in 2022. Zero complaints. The little DJ section wasn't something I expected but was cool. Kneecap - I had a blast but at this point in the night I was at my most intoxicated let's say, so I don’t remember it as clearly as I'd have liked to!    The xx - The sound for this was perfectly balanced (at least where I was) and the band were great. Lots of talkers, but with the crowd size and being kind of far back, it's to be expected. Intro was one of my favourite moments this year. Big Thief - really good live performers. The lead singer has a lovely voice. This was a nice chill way to kick off the mordor gigs for me.
    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
