On set lists, I’m happy with the 2019 list minus the Egypt station tunes, with stuff like Yesterday, Got to Get You in there. A Day in the Life is the dream but doesn’t seem to be likely unless there’s a guest.

My man deployed that at Hampden in 2010. When I rocked up at Worthy Farm 3 days later I was still hungover until the Thursday morning.

Thankfully you weren't hungover at the gig. There is no worst combo on earth than bagpipes and a hangover.

"Yesterday" is in my top 10 most hated songs of all time list. Absolute dirge.

I hope he Bins that off... only topped by "In my Life" as a Beatles tune that I cannot stand.

I'll be there & loving it, but yesterday... not for me Clive.

(I expect pelters for that comment, but I'll die by it)

Go on then, why do dislike Yesterday so much? No pelters, just curious!

I mean fine.  You like what you like. It's not in my top 30 or 40 Beatles songs either.

But it's short, precise and to the point. It does a neat job and then doesn't hang around and has a simple, sweet precision to it, helped by George Martin's string arrangement.

So preferring Genuine Fabs Clunkers like Mr Moonlight or Blue Jay Way does strike me as odd.

To me it's dull as dishwater. Absolutely boring & completely depressing.

I've never seen Macca, but he's done countless great tunes... Yesterday isnt for me, Blackbird too - but less so.

My worry re Macca is - the tunes of his I prefer are more uplifting i.e. Live & Let Die... Helter Skelter. The ones he could struggle to belt out.

Again, it's barely 2 minutes long. It doesn't hang around long enough to be depressing.

Unlike, say, While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

I see your point re Length of the tune, but it's just dull to my ears.

I've just seen a face... 2 mins & far far superior to my ears.

    • Based on previous times that rules quite a lot out of early summer festivals into the August runs.
    • No dramas man, I just like to follow others journeys as well. Get the inspiration, give out inspiration and the outdoors is the clear the head place to do it. I'm heading out for a easy trail run today I think, 10k- 10 mile we'll see how we go. I've got a half marathon in October I'm well unprepared for hahs
    • The Cheap Thrills at Mountford Hall, Liverpool.    They've been around for a while and have built up a large local following. Last night was their biggest yet, at a sold out 2,200 capacity venue.    It was a big old joyous, indie singalong from start to finish, the band clearly having the time of their lives. The debut album is out next month and they seem to be going down well on the festival circuit, maybe their time has finally come.   2 supports, I unfortunately missed Credits but the few songs they have on Spotify sound good, Americana vibes. The other was M60, reportedly Gary Neville's favourite band. If that's true, he's as clueless about music as he is football. To be fair, their sound was poor, maybe with a clearer sound they'd have been better but it was pretty dull.
    • I can see them all merging along with the Tory’s . Restore curently couldn’t muster enough candidates to be a viable option . I lasted 4 mins and couldn’t watch any more . Lowe is just dull along with racist
