I have tickets to we will rock you when this all ends. Sure I’ll have seen worse though. You seen book of Mormons? Watched that (again) in the hippodrome just before lockdown and it’s up there. @Kalopsia needs to see the mama mia musical i feel (i think he said he hasn’t seen it on one of our meets but may have been mistaken because of drink). I loved it too but i think I’d have to go for Hairspray or Jersey Boys. Watched singing in the rain from the safety of the Circle and enjoyed that too.

Oh yeah, Mormon was v good (And I don't even like South Park). I tell you what I really hated. I know everyone loved it but I found Hamilton torturous. Three hours of people rapping about the American constitution. It was like a bad Whose Line Is It Anyway? skit that had gotten way out of hand. I found it cringey.

Was in the stalls for Singing in the Rain, which was great when they did the bit where they make a deliberate point of booting gallons of water over the audience (it really was a very different time!).

I loved Hamilton but was drunk watching it. Went with mates to London to watch chemicals at all points east and decided to watch it the day before. They had no interest so i had a few beers, went to the theatre, sent them a picture of the theatre saying “i have arrives”, had wine, got confused by the tube so decided to run 4k to where they ended up.  It was a simpler time!

Yep, ours was on over Christmas so thankfully some had umbrellas to shield themselves with.

I haven't seen it no, on my list are Dirty Dancing, Mamma Mia, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Everybody's Talking About Jamie and Caberet. I've decided I need to go to the theatre more and support them.

It's so good, Truly Scrumptious is my favourite song.

Best song from a musical ever. 'You give a little love and it all comes back to you, You know you're gonna be remembered for the things that you say and do' is like a whole life philosophy.

While having a nice hot bath ( or baff if youz frum round yer ) , I was thinking..

New Years games ... I got a pub quiz game , basically a shite load of questions that could be some fun .

also , is anyone cleaver enough with some audio editing software to throw together some “ guess the intro clips “

what about some of these identifying areas of Glasto from obscure camera angles or clips.

What a good idea x

@ShakeyCrash I loved "We Will Rock You", it's been about 9/10 years since I went to see it though.

I confess to loving Les Miserables; I don't know if it is because my sister used to play the soundtrack on repeat...

"Do you hear the people sing..."

Tune.

Best film musical, surely as @Losing my hair mentioned it has to be Moulin Rouge? Although The Rocky Horror show runs it close! Grease and The Little Shop of Horrors get honourable mentions!

Love a good musical!

Best musical TV episode, "Once More with Feeling" in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

"You got the mustard ouuutttttt..."

I have a few guess the song/intro games from earlier in lockdown... if I'm not online I can email.

    • Absolutely love her record, System. Definitely an album that rewards a bit of commitment.   She's right on my must-see list. Hoping she's in the Walled Garden, as I think her sound might be a bit muddy if she's early-ish in Far Out.   Ben
    • Same here, I kept trying to go on A View From My Seat to see if each block was worth it. So vague!
    • Ok, I’ve had time to process the experience now, so here is my review.   The good Barcelona - what a beautiful place! What lovely people! The city was like another headliner. Stayed in El Poblenou, and the bars, cafes and restaurants were perfect. Avalanches - Absolutely spectacular, euphoric set. Fantastic stage. Possibly enhanced by substances that I timed right, for a change. Added bonus that I don’t really remember the queue. The Cure - I’ve been a fan for 34 years, and never got round to seeing them, so this was a dream come true. The XX - The sound was exceptional. The lights and setlist perfect, giving each member their moment. Was really loud where I was standing (between the front and the sound desk), but i didn’t notice any chatters - even during the quieter moments. Also loved Men I Trust, .bd. , Big Thief, NewDad and Gorillaz. The food within Parc Del Fòrum was also a lot better than I was expecting.   The bad People talking non-stop throughout some of the sets, and shouting to be heard over the music. I had to move 3 times during Wet Leg just to be able to hear the band over the crowd. It’s probably an age thing, but I just don’t understand it. You’ve paid how much to watch these acts, and now you’re standing with your back to the stage, missing the music and ruining the experience for everyone else? Odd behaviour.   The weather apocalypse on Thursday. I genuinely thought I would be able to tough it out. I couldn’t. Left after Geese. The lack of communication from Primavera didn’t help.   Whilst it was lovely to be by the sea, and the sunsets were very pretty, the site is a bit…concrete-y, isn’t it? I kind of longed for some grass and trees. Often found ourselves standing on the steps by the Adidas yard by some bamboo. This was probably a subconscious need for some nature. The fact that some of the nature included cockroaches did not negatively affect the experience.   My daughter, for running away when she saw the drug dogs in the queue on Thursday, meaning that I lost her for the whole evening. She hid her stash under a bench, and it miraculously survived the storms.   Also, can someone explain the point in having a wristband, when you still have to show your ticket every time you enter and leave the site?   Finally, I would like to nominate myself as one of the bad things about this year’s Primabera. I should have done Primavera a lot better. It was my first one, so I’m still learning, but I think I left too early on the Thursday. Left after the Cure on Friday, so I would be full of energy on Saturday, and then barely made it to the end of Gorillaz anyway, meaning I missed Overmono, Skrillex, Skullcrusher, Kneecap, and a few more I would have liked to see.   All in all Amazing lineup. Decent food options. Cupra and Cupra Pulse stages were very impressive. Weather was perfect for 3 out of the 4 days i attended.   It was always likely to be a ‘one and done’ for me, but we had a blast, even if I am starting to get too old for all this.
    • That Wednesday Razzmatazz slot is one of the best/prime slots!
    • If they fancy chucking something together last knockings, i'm up for it! 😄 Got to get a cat sitter, but i'm 95% there
