FFS the UK have chosen not to stay in the Erasmus programme, which is such a great experience for so many young people.

Thanks Johnson you dickhead.

Ah no! you’re joking? My final year I lived with someone who was on Erasmus on their 2nd year and therefore had friends who were doing the same here during our final year, it was a great experience for them living in other countries but I made some great friends and learned about some great cultures too... what a shame

It's a truly brilliant thing for young people.

Seems so petty and spiteful not to stick with it when it was on offer.

Guess it's down to not wanting people to see how much better the other countries in Europe can be. And it skirts close to freedom of movement which is obviously not allowed

I'm sure these Brexit types will be thrilled when immigration from places other than europe increases...

Awful decision. Only logical explanation I can think of for not staying in it is to stop people abusing it and using it as a loophole for movement - but even still. Such a shame the next generation won’t have the option to benefit from it.

Exactly - white skinned 'dodgy foreigners' will simply be replaced with brown skinned 'very dodgy foreigners' that they'll be even more angry about.

Muppets.

That's precisely why they want to stop it unfortunately, can't have people becoming international and broadening their mind and experiences. Must start making the next gen a bunch of little Englanders! It is a genuine shame.

Next stop, revise the history books showing that Great Britain won the second World War and Gazza never got sent off and we won the Italy 90 World Cup heroically.

    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
    • I'm definitely not camping 🙂.  My 17 year old Daughter and her friends are there 3 days and commuting back to Sheffield each day as didn't want to camp .  I am taking and picking up the Saturday so thought I may as well get a ticket as love Fontaines DC - need to do a lot of research on the other acts though to fill my day.    I walked through the camp site other year the day Arctic Monkeys played and it was like a War Zone.  My Son has camped a couple of times but didn't fancy my Daughter staying over.
    • Not at all impressed with Polanski saying "noone should be barred from public life" wrt the Tory neo-nazi. I really don't think "no nazis in politics" should be an excessive standard.
