It's partly why they'll probably keep some restrictions in place for a bit once the vulnerable have been vaccinated to ensure that people that fall just below that threshold and others can be protected whilst they monitor the impacts the vaccine has had with the virus spread.

The entire adult population maybe into 2022 (if they even do everyone)

but even if they tried to obv not every person would have it for various reasons. Therefor there will be people getting covid and people getting long covid - it’s something we need to live with as a society.

I see "long covid" as the people who can't get out of bed weeks later or have symptoms that badly affect their lives. Not a cough, or headaches. That all needs a lot more context.

Between this sort of thing and the new strain I've got a funny feeling 2021 might not be much different to 2020....

The vials contain enough for 7.5 doses when diluted but are rated for 5 doses, there may be some loss as the syringe is emptied of air so I guess that is why they supply extra, if they are careful they may well get 7 doses from a vial. On the other hand if the vial contains any particulates they have to be discarded so there may be some loss there depending on how good (or bad) the production is.
