micvet
RW saved! Taylor Swift at Werchter Boutique :)
Dennisf
Taylor Swift to Werchter Boutique (20/06). The fact that LN can put her at Boutique looks like a sign that LN don't need her to headline Rock Werchter (like P!nk this year). A sign that we can be hopefull for the quality of the RW-headliners? ?

Their most recent album in 2016 charted at number 1 in a bunch of countries including Belgium. Not sure how one quantifies a bands “relevance” but there is no doubt they’d have been a strong booking for the festival.
Death By Sexy
Green Day was extremely boring in 2013. RW is better off without them.

Maybe but it’s about ticket sales. 2013 their stock was at its absolute lowest off the back of three really weak albums. They are pretty popular currently and selling stadiums this year. Werchter generally books the biggest bands touring any given year. Green day is definitely in that bracket from what we’ve seen this year so far. I'd love it to have a similar quality like in 2018. That lineup was insane. QOTSA, Gorillaz, Killers, Pearl Jam, Jack White, Nick Cave, Arctic Monkeys. So many headliners. And then we had the likes of Nine Inch Nails, David Byrne, Fleet Foxes, Anderson Paak in the Barn. Great, great year. Although I love tame impala I don't particularly see them as a big festival headliner yet. Just interested to find out what big headliners we could have, although green day are past it they would still attract me.

Other very big acts playing Belgium have played Sportpaleis. Honestly if they didn’t have a decent fan base there they’d skip it altogether.
