Dont know why but always though Heavenly had an influence on Williams Green.Could well have just made that up myself !

Not sure about who pulls the strings at WG - either way would be curious to know - but I know from a pal who has crewed at the Park that they have a hand in hosting the Crows Nest and there's the link too to the Stonebridge Bar (via the Social), meaning a lot of Heavenly bands tend to appear up there somewhere.

Nick Cave - still thinking he might appear during Kylie's set (which I will likely miss anyway) as he is in the country (or is in the country very close to the weekend as Im going to see him in Edinburgh on the 22nd)

Im sure Stealing Sheep & Confidence Man have played in The Crows Nest in past years. One of my fave places so fingers crossed.

Some acts around at the moment that I hoped would sneak onto the lineup but didn't:

Alaskalaska

Cigarettes After Sex

Metric

Little Cub

You Drive

Slow Readers Club

Keep Shelly In Athens

Lack of Kali Uchis is definitely a bummer, but the way they do in 2019 they'd have just scheduled her to clash with 3 other badass women.

True. That Christine/Janelle clash is heartbreaking.

I was hoping Cardi would be booked but after the shit she’s pulling at the moment it looks like even if they did book her she wouldn’t have played anyway.

She’s pulled her entire European show and only doing shows in America because she thinks planes are bad for her.

Bloc Party. They're playing in Bristol the Friday of the festival too to add salt in the wound. Missed out on tickets to their 10 year Silent Alarm tour. Thought they would be pretty much nailed on to play :(  :(

    • I wouldn’t be surprised if it was £425.  If I recall there was a significant jump about 10 years ago and with the prices of gigs significantly inflating in the last couple of years I can see another big jump coming.
    • I think they are just sold out ..... I find it highly unlikely that the entire arena wouldn't go on sale for a band the size of muse straight away.   Theres also some in those blocks on sale on resale sites
    • Personally, I do hope Fontaines headline next year. Feels like it's their time in terms of the contemporary element - I know 2028 could equally be but I think (and speaking as an old git) they are probably the most significant band to emerge for a good few years, and they've already accumulated 4 great albums, let alone adding 5th, to field a memorable setlist.

    • Alright fair, I thought she only did BST once. Though I do question how that type of pop show will translate to a stadium.
