I've gone for the bottle top method. Actually really really pleased with the result, but I didn't originally mean to be taking a litre of rum.

might've been asked already but does anyone know what searches are like?  i was going to take cans and box wine but the restrictions on alcohol are super tight

i reckon there might be some stages shut-down at points over the weekend with how the weather forecast is looking at the moment. It's happened before at Boomtown, and as far as i can remember the forecast then wasn't as a severe as now.

Looking at the BBC, the stromg winds are only for a few hours on Fri & a few on Saturday. Hopefully there isnt too much disruption

The year the closed a few of the stages, they had hurricane strength winds. The forecast isn’t that bad this year.

They weren't 'hurrricane' strength winds that year unless Boomtown was running in 1987?  

Gales, same as this year. They've just shut down a whole festival because of winds only slightly weaker than currently forecast for boomtown.

yup, I didn't say everything is the same - including how bad the weather will be. I merely said boomtown might be affected by the bad weather. There's a big nasty storm going right over it.

Its odd really as Metcheck are still predicting not especially bad weather, light rain all night Thursday, then showers all day Friday, and a bit of wind Saturday. Watching the BBC news this morning you'd have thought armageddon was coming, and now Boardmasters getting cancelled!

Love the Inconvenience Store already on the wind up. 

They were a highlight of the festival last year, located near the Old Town stage not far from the Bad Apple. So brutal.

I wondered this as well, but not sure they have the capacity to offer it to vast amounts of people?

It isn't sold out so they might as well offer what tickets/capacity they have left to cash in on the unfortunate situation at Boardmasters.
