If we’re including every possibility then I guess Gorillaz can be added.

My personal favourite choice, seems unlikely but my fingers are crossed. Didn't someone say ages ago that, one of the headliners was a rap/hip hop act, another was indie and the last one was a curve ball for Reading? Surely Gorillaz would be a huge curve ball...

Surely we’re gonna see the likes of idles, wolf alice, Declan mckenna etc this year. Some of the country’s hottest acts

Saw Wolf Alice at the Ethiad with foo fighters a couple of years ago and thought they were shite live not gonna lie

Apparently a LOT of acts turned down headliner slots, not just BMTH.

Blimey. Got to be a money issue? Perhaps Live Nation spunked a load of cash on another band, say, a recently-reunited and mega-expensive headliner.. . Or realistically, Eminem.

Is this the info you received that you consider depressing?

Perhaps someone seeming likely to be taking the headline slot (maybe RATM) but the dotted lines weren’t signed has pulled out??

or maybe Courteeners are subbing which appears to be everyone’s worst nightmare (aside from mine because I think they’re a cracking band)

    • yes, but it will be called a care tax...much nicer name...and they will bin inheritance tax which no one likes even though most people don't pay it....and it will be used to pay for your granny. Burnham is obviously the saviour and will win labour another landslide because he's nice northern lad and not some sir c**t from surrey.
    • Hey, I correctly predicted the entire Bizkit Main Stage day months in advance 😝
    • Its just going to be another dementia tax isn't it? The issue is this is going to be seen as a continuation of the labour government that have already raised taxes 1000% above manifesto promises.
    • One thing that Burnham has been talking about is scrapping inheritance tax and replace it with a social care levy ... which would be less progressive, but might be a good idea if was a solution for the social care crisis. Would need to sell it well to a public who would prefer not to pay more tax.
    • Maybe you should put your name forward to be Burnham's chancellor.
