Dan has really chucked this whole thing in the air but I agree with @The_Ledgerwood I don’t think BMTH would turn down headlining( all signs say they have but who knows) and I think LG would co

Stormzy-BMTH/LG-MCR??

Biffy are in Germany August, Eminem playing Sziget.

I reckon Biffy Clyro, Liam Gallagher and Eminem

That has to be a troll. In what world is Halsey in theory big enough to headline a UK event which is trying to shift 80,000 tickets?

im pretty sure halsey doesn’t even sub festivals in America

Not really. What one person considers depressing might entice someone else to buy a ticket. I would assume those that buy tix before the line up is released just enjoy the experience regardless or would be satisfied regardless of the individual acts.

Exactly I bought my Ticket in December, because I want to experience something different every show

What’s the point in having her coheadline with Liam Gallagher though? Is she really someone that people would part serious money with to see here?

Maybe I’m out of touch but I never thought Halsey would ever be in contention to headline a UK festival. Her success in America doesn’t really translate here at all.

R&L could conflict with other dates she has lined up elsewhere. It’s not unbelievable.

Touring until June.

Leaves her free. Can't see her turning a big slot down. BMTH subbed by Halsey.

The amount of people that have "turned down" slots when it's the year for them to promote stuff seems excessive.

Touring until June at the moment. There could be stuff in the pipeline that hasn’t been announced yet.

Some bands prefer doing their own shows over festivals. Look at all of the bands this year who are over here within a month or so of Download who could headline there and were probably approached but seemingly turned any offers down to do their own thing.

Dan has never really told us the problems they've had with booking acts in the past though, he usually just drops the lineup, the amount of acts he's said have turned down slots could be a small number compared to previous years we just don't know what the booking process is like

Dan defo winding us up with this Halsey one lads 😂

I remember thinking that when he told us that FOB were headlining outright and Panic! coheadlining with Kendrick back in 2018.

    • Plenty of good stuff this month. Very difficult choice, but I'm going with some of those I've listened to most (the sunny weather may also have been influential)...   1. The Coral - 388 2. Kurt Vile - Philadelphia's Been Good to Me 3. The Lemon Twigs - Look For Your Mind!   Others I've been enjoying... Laurie Anderson's live album, Broken Social Scene, Pigeon, The Black Keys, etc
    • Yesterday was was Primavera is all about and a reminder of why I come back every year. I saw 9 acts, very diverse in terms of genre and vibe, and most of them were great.  Highlights:   The Cure - have wanted to see them for years. Finally caught them and it was immaculate. Robert Smith's vocals at his age are incredible. The band sounded exactly like the albums which is impressive. 2.5 hours with basically no filler somehow.  Viagra Boys - what a front man! So much energy. Non stop moshing. Sound was great, vibe was top notch. Again 10/10 for me.  Rilo Kiley - basically what pipan said. Not a huge crowd but nice vibe, good sound. Different from the other acts I saw.   I also enjoyed the late night electronic stuff with Aurora Halal and KI/KI being fun. Caught some of Skrillex before Aurora Halal and it was cool in it's own way but not really my thing so we left.
