Yep, was supposed to be at the Fleece on Friday. Oh well, can't be helped.

He has the flu, real shame I was looking forward to that. :(

Debut album also announced this morning for April release, pre-ordered it a few mins ago. Iconic Glastonbury set I am truly hoping for

I feel like they sold out all the venues in April that Shame sold out last April, and they’re now playing all the venues in November that Shame played last November.

Not that it matters. It’s just curious.

Bands when at similar stages of their careers, and both on same booking agents do similar live set ups… shocker ;)

There are worse ways to spend an afternoon.

So as we pretty much think Idles are TBA for the Friday, and more than likely another set to pop up.

With both them and Fonts on Partisan, I can def see Fonts doing WG Thursday for exposure before Idles, because as we know, it's like beans in a can down there last few years.

What say you almighty @The Toad.

Word is that Pale Waves are doing the Thursday. Fontaines DC can probably just play WG at any other point over the weekend.

ooooo The Sun is running a story about Klaxons potentially reuniting. Someone must be setting up one of those Rewind the Late-00’s festivals over here too.

The festival should just recreate the 2008 lineup and leave it at that. Mumford last can replace Leonard Cohen, I’m sure no one would mind.

IDLES will play a WG slot Thursday about 9pm like Wolf Alice c.2015 - 90% sure of it

Fontaines to play WG at any point during the weekend. 86%

I hope that they just announced the WG Thursday bands this year.   It's busy enough there as it is but just putting "Live Band" or "Special Guests" on the timetable seems to make it even busier.   People just flock there out of curiosity.

It's rammed even for acts like Rat Boy.

Also - open up the sides of the tent on the Thursday.   It's chaos getting in and out of the back but if you can squeeze down the sides, there's actually lots of room near the front from where everyone just congregates at the entrance.   People can be quite reluctant to let you through, though.

    • I'm surprised they risked it, especially after nearly missing their Glasto 22 slot under similar circumstances  I did see someome say Ellie didnt sound as strong as recently but I'm guessing playing 3 shows in 2 different continents doesnt help that    On the topic though I can definitely see them doing a Fontaines and having a break over winter before a few final Clearing shows next summer
    • That's fair on WA - I did recall people thinking Fontaines would take this year off before this was announced.    On the subject of Wolf Alice, they did Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday then Kendal Calling last night. Bit of an odd choice, no? Half imagine at Kendal that they would've been just exhausted.
    • Just logged onto the app to start planning my days and there really are a LOT of stages missing. Apart from the Seaside Stage there is no Casemates this year etc. Apart from the Seaside Stage, there are no Casemates this year, etc. Can't see anything about the kids field really. And there's local acts that are normally there like Kojak's Revenge that aren't appearing either.  Normally we get down fairly early but I can't see anything before 3pm I'm keen to see. Only one real clash as well, which is good, but it's thin and it's not thin in the sense of "I've seen a lot of these acts before"
