Shaggy would be a great artist to have in the background whilst I'm grabbing my dinner before I properly join in for the two songs I actually know at the end of the set

So as a stage with a few decent food places near it West Holts seems ideal for me

Shaggy was the one act all our group want to see. Hoping he is a daytime slot. To eliminate a clash.

Remember seeing de la soul in 2014 in the Friday pyramid slot, 2.30pm ish. Kinda had Shaggy down for that sort of thing.

I don't think Shaggy has ever been regarded as a decent live act, but if you go in with the right expectations of just having a bit of fun to a string of pop hits from your youth then I think it'll be a good 'un.

whilst I do agree with you, that's exactly what my friends did. If I remember correctly I don't think he played his hits in the conventional way, think he mixed them up and shortened them and that's what annoyed the crowd. Was a few years ago now though so chances are he's got better.

hasn't there been one missing from the first poster every year? I thought there had, tho I might not have been paying attention.

All have been on the initial poster the two years I've been to (2015 & 2016). Checked earlier today as can see a big Radiohead v Justice/RTJ v Flaming Lips clash happening.

Not the last couple of years I don't think (we weren't sure about Flying Lotus for a long while in '15). Reckon they're all on the poster this year tbh and we've just not sussed it, although ATCQ being added for the Sunday would be just splendid plz plz plz.

I think it's

Chic look the obvious one - but they did it in 2013.... but Nile Rogers really enjoyed the WH

Still think they'd make more sense on the Pyramid this time round but aye you may well be right and it might just be that obvious.

going to see sun ra arkestra on sunday. they're in Berlin the tuesday after G and London in July. might they show up? last played in 2014.

I've missed them both times at Cafe Oto 'cause I couldn't justify the price after forking out to see the Art Ensemble of Chicago there. Would sort me out big time if Holts' booked them.

I would rather Chic got a headline length set on West Holts than an hour on pyramid.

I think they will be on Pyramid though.

    • I got in for £11.25 in the end, which was absolutely ridiculously good value, and made the queues and overselling of the venue much more tolerable! Sniping in on other people’s unwanted tickets on the day of an event might become my new hobby I think 🥳
    • Ann and Nancy Wilson are planning a final world tour for HEART starting next year. They were never at Glastonbury. They should do it.
    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
