What would be your perfect Glasto line up?

I've gone for acts that are alive, some more far fetched than others but feel free to populate your dream line up with any acts from history.

Pyramid Friday Saturday Sunday
  Arctic Monkeys Daft Punk Prince
      Phil Collins Legend Slot
Other
  Outkast Duran Duran Chemical Brothers

WH
  Groove Armada Madness MGMT

I'm going on alive and realistic acts (so no Beatles/Bowie/Nirvana) and will just do Pyramid top three to avoid clashes. Tried to make it look vaguely plausible in terms of placings.

Friday: Radiohead, The Cure, Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Saturday: Fleetwood Mac,  QOTSA, The Strokes

Sunday: McCartney, Pulp, Last Shadow Puppets.

Friday Other Opener: The Chris Martin Supergroup.

Friday - Oasis, Saturday - The Rolling Stones, Sunday - Coldplay

I know Coldplay isn't everyone's cup of tea but I like them, and I think they put on great show. I haven't seen them yet at Glastonbury either. Bowie would have replaced Coldplay though if he was still with us.

Undercard would be Friday - The Prodigy, Saturday - RHCP, Sunday - Chic

Can't pick dream headliners for the other stages as they would clash and that would be hideous.

My top two on the Pyramid would be;

Friday: Radiohead, My Bloody Valentine

Saturday: Led Zeppelin, Pulp

Sunday: The Smiths, The Stooges

Then I'd shoe horn McCartney into the Sunday legends slot cause he'd have to be there.

I'll not do it by stage, just the three acts I'd love to see back to back on each day plus the legend and Other opener;

FRIDAY: Radiohead > Chemical Brothers  > CHVRCHES

SATURDAY: Arcade Fire > The Strokes > The National

SUNDAY: Paul McCartney > Kendrick > Pulp

Legend - Aretha

Other Opener - McAlmont & Butler

Radiohead & Prince as 2 of the Pyramid headliners, with someone I don't care about the 3rd as I wouldn't want to do all 3 headliners on the one stage.

Aretha on the legends slot

Goldie & The Heritage Orchestra doing Timeless in the Park

Chemical Bros are always amazing headlining the Other

Remaining members of A Tribe Called Quest, Beastie Boys & Gang Starr in some kind of epic 'we've all lost a key member' hip hop supergroup show on the Pyramid Friday afternoon

Sasha & Digweed

The Roots take over West Holts for 4 hours with special guests, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Mos Def & Talib Kweli, and John Legend

Mr Scruff playing a flawless epic 72 hour set somewhere

Token singalong rock band :P

Friday - Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (subbed by Joni Mitchell)

Saturday - Led Zeppelin (subbed by the Travelling Wilburys, obviously George Harrison & Roy Orbison come back from the dead)

Sunday - The Beatles (subbed by the Band) (Otis Redding performing 'Otis Blue' in legends slot)

A boy can dream.

:D

If that's the case, I'd just have Roy headline.

It would contain: -

Depeche Mode

Aretha Franklin

The Bluetones

Doves

Grinderman

Faith No More

Iron Maiden

Shed Seven.

Anywhere, any order, so long as they don't all clash.

    • Was volunteering at the Women’s Cricket World Cup at Southampton yesterday. Was great fun.
    • Definitely see this as being 'weak' on paper but could see a few bumps up from previous sets at Download (Don Broco, Neck Deep etc).
    • Very different in terms of time of game,  yet remember how excited I was before the first game in Euro 2016 having grown up not sure I would ever see wales in an international tournament. That day scraped a win against Slovakia and was just happy to see wales score and win at a tournament, little did I know we would finish in the top 4. Hope Scottish fans get the same experience.
