Calm before the storm?

in honour of your avatar I can only say to the predictions...

How we live by time

How we live

How we live by the watch

The clock

We're brought up by the clock

We're brought up to respect the clock

Admire the clock

Punctuality

Better luck next time fella B)

Maybe my calculations were wrong. I'll have another go on Monday.

I'm off home to take a long, hard look at myself. Have good (announcement-filled) weekend everyone.

We appreciate your efforts nonetheless. It takes a real wizard to successfully predict these announcements.

I need an announcement to lift the spirits, my 12 year old has been involved in such a fck up at school that I shouldnt really bring him at all and yet all the logistics are built round it. Bloody children.

Its better to fuck up at school when you are 12 than when it really matters.

Yes, thats a helpful thing to bear in mind. Thanks. Although realising there's another 6 years or so of this has made me need gin.

Well spare a thought for my poor mum. I made a right mess out of school and left with nothing. Then went to to college and uni for 10 years when I was 24 to make amends. I put the poor woman through it twice.

We all make mistakes, even really, really bad ones. The trick is to learn from then and try not to upset too many people in the process. There is pretty much nothing that can't end up with a happy ending when you are 12. Enjoy the gin :D

I was at a wine tasting last night.  On of our group asked if there was a reason certain wines were on a particular table etc. Someone replied "no there isn't"

I raised my glass and with a smile said "there is no pattern" The only response I got was a funny look.

    • Looking like will be bringing a 2-3 month old to Glastonbury next year
    • Healey's first budget with be Oct 28th
    • Been going for 10 years. Wasn't massively keen on the lineup beforehand - although as usual after some research I did start to really look forward to it. We had a brilliant time, felt more like old school Latitude, lovely vibe and we met some nice people. We saw loads but highlights for me -   Lime Garden Florence Road Jalen Ngonda David Byrne - Not a fan of him or TH really but we went out of interest and it was one of those festival shows that you'll never forget. The staging was off the scale. Eleni Drake - Up on BBC Introducing, what a haven that stage is.  Westside Cowboy Getdown Services - Probably highlight of the weekend for me. Absolutely brilliant and have booked tix for them in Bristol next year. Everything Everything - They're my favourite band so I loved it when they were added. A great start to Sunday and met loads of their fans up near the front. Alex James Britpop - We enjoyed it and Gary Stringer FFS! David O'Doherty - Saw him twice, brilliant as usual. Self Esteem - Adore Rebecca and the show was as live affirming as always.   Overall, it was such a brilliant weekend. Beforehand we said that we might give it a miss next year but I'm pretty sure that we'll be sucked right back in!
    • Me too.  Reckon they must have more this year.   Not bad is it - ended up paying same price as this year.  It still represents great value for me.  Well, until I check my bank account the Monday after the weekend.
    • Well mayors have more powers to do that sh*t...but they have to make the numbers add up.
