I love The Blues and wanted to see FBS but it was so busy you couldn't move and decided to go elsewhere. Took about 15mins to move 30 yards to the edge of the crowd.

Jaguar Skills doing a secret set on friday in Pussy Parlure was exceptional though.

I've yet to see a good set at Sonic but I think that's more to do with the stage and the location TBH.

I really enjoyed Annie Mac before him but that was probably due to sobering up as to why I was disappointed. But I agree, there's way too much sound bleed in the whole of that area.

Despite the fact that he seems to play multiple times every year, every stage he plays at is rammed. It's impossible to even walk through Silver Hayes if he is playing in there.

I probably got closer to him than his hard core fans have managed to at Glastonbury. I watched Stevie Wonder in 2010 and he was stood with Zoe Ball behind us.

First UK tour in 2008? Really? Didn't he tour for the 12 year prior?

You've made me think now. Did he? Under the name of Deadmau5?

I had never heard of him until i see him sub Fatboy Slim at Wireless.

Hang on, have we been at cross purposes for the past few posts? I'm still talking about Fatboy Slim, not Deadmau5. I've not seen Deadmau5, but I believe he puts on a bit more of a show than Norman.

Maybe there could be a big beat special featuring Fatboy, Derek Dahlarge, Jon Carter, Bentley Rhythm Ace , Propeller Heads and The Wiseguys.

As far as I can remember big beats popularity coincided with a dearth of quality drugs and was quite popular as it sounded good when you were pissed and doing amyl nitrate/ Next thing you know the strong pills reappeared and everyone was listening to Dutch Trance and sticking glow in the dark clothes pegs on their heads..

Even though I was there at the time I've no idea if any of this is true. I just wanted to say that this is an absolutely cracking 'theory' though.

Weirdly enough I'm actually going to see A-Skillz at Koko tonight (and if I think a out it, chances are that I will indeed just get pissed).

An interesting article from Damien Harris the founder of Skint Records on the Big Beat scene.

Some of it was pretty good to fair such as this Jon Carter selection

It would be cool if they've managed to extend the licence for the JPT a bit because of its move, allowing them to have late night 'closing' sets in there. So Underworld on the Friday, Fatboy on the Saturday and Annie Mac on the Sunday.

Obviously thats a pipe dream but still :D

That's a cracking theory that I'd love to be true but can't see it :(

    • The Great Fete Festival (Sunday Only) Ocean Colour Scene day on Tickets For Good.
    • I was also at Ghost but seated. When they scanned my ticket's and they came up as seated they printed a small ticket with the seat number info.
    • I was standing for Ghost at O2 London last year where they put the phone in a pouch beforehand so I assume they're is a mechanism in place for people in seats.
    • Most likely not, keeping an eye on Tixel and Twickets might be the best option.
