it does exist but I believe it should only be used on the most special occasions like line-up poster announcements, you can't squander such riches

That pledge bit is interesting. Wouldn't it be nice to believe everyone would actually commit to it?

I was on and off site the month after last years festival collecting fencing and the amount of stuff left behind was staggering, not just rubbish, which is bad enough, but tents, gazebos, bedding, booze, TENT PEGS as well, the amount of time it must take to clear the site of metal tent pegs, all done by hand ( which the help of big magnets as well)

hats off to the clear up crews.

Question about the postage, do they still charge this even if you've booked the coach package? Since we wont get the ticket until we get on the coach it wouldn't make sense.

My email says £1.50 transaction fee for the coach package e-ticket.

So if I am to stump up the best part of £200 is there any chance of  the full line up appearing soon?

yes, I can guarantee it will appear at some point within the next 90 days

Just out of interest (and my initial thoughts would be that it was them emulating your user name!), but what in the name of all that is sacred is leading to your two idiot friends passing up their GF tickets?

My friend seems to be bailing on me, too. I think a lot of people are not happy about the headliners this year and there are many other festivals which are cheaper with already announced line-ups. I think by keeping them secret, some people don't want to spend that amount of money without knowing who's playing. In my opinion, the atmosphere and slim chance of getting a ticket should be a reason enough to go, but oh well..

I have to be careful not to come across as an insufferable music snob in every post I write but, WTF?!

I guess I have to acknowledge that many (most?) people let music happen to them, more than they initiate their relationship with it. I am significantly interested in almost no-one yet announced or TBC for this year's Glastonbury, and yet that just enhances my excitement. It means that I will find even more phenomenal gems in the undercard, as I am not distracted by Muse (seen 'em many times, they've been average at best for years now), Adele (really? Oh behave!) or Coldplay (nothing against the perfectly vanilla lads at all, but would close the curtains politely if they were playing in my back garden).

Your friend needs a lesson in how to do festivals 'properly' and, moreover, in how deciding whether or not to go to Glastonbury is a fundamentally different process than the same for any other.

Have a word...

:)
