I've spoken to my friends and quite a few want to go watch Adele so I will be there watching her. I may drop some acid and see how much fun I can make it,

Probably due to the tangible hypocrisy of Bono preaching charity / promoting the World Bank remedies for Africa whilst basing his business affairs in the Netherlands.

Singer says she doesn't like paying tax shocker. Seems normal enough to me. Just find it funny that it still comes up.

She went to state school did she not? Claims she uses the NHS?

Granted its not on the same scale as Bono... Poorly thought through these comments may have been but fully absent of hypocrisy they was not.

As stated elsewhere I happen to like Adele. Find her engaging and gregarious. Also, anyone who gets scandalously wealthy in the music biz in this day and age is as smart as a tack. More power to the lady.

The tax quote thing is getting really tiresome.  Can anyone find anything she's said or done on the matter?  In the absence of other information, I don't think it's too generous to assume she actually paid up and shut up.

I got a self-assessment tax bill higher than expected the other week.  I was quite surprised and not particularly happy.  Particularly when I found out that if your income tax goes over a certain threshold then you're expected to pay your next 6 month's bill in advance.  

It's almost as bad as damning Dave Grohl forever because he briefly believed something someone told him about the link between HIV and AIDS.

All 3 are worthy headliners - but as a trio, I can't remember a weaker 3  - different reasons for each.

Still, plenty of fun to have elsewhere, so really really hope something extraordinary is put on elsewhere. New Order would be good, but maybe something better will crop up.

I only know a couple of songs, I find all the ones I've heard very dreary - she's a great voice and seems a good egg, but it's music your mum would buy in Tesco's. No offence to anyone, really not my cup of tea. Hopefully it will clear some room at the other stages.

Something more interesting than Adele, but not a indie/rock band I've seen before (New Order) or the Bootleg Beatles or some such.

That leaves West Holts the JP, Park and all the smaller stages. So I'm very hopeful.

Though my interest in this has waned slightly after listening to 25 and finding it (mostly) pretty stilted.

The choruses of Hello and When We Were Young, and A Million Years Ago were all that really stood out on first listen.

However, interspersed with the Dylan cover, Skyfall and the best of 21 I'm sure it'll be a decent gig.

I've just had a call from a producer of a new radio station that's launched today (I didn't catch the name) wanting someone to go on air and slag off Glasto for booking adele.

I said he'd had to go elsewhere to find an idiot who thinks booking the world's biggest act is a bad move.
