Almost bought a ticket for last night as there were seats going for £20 on stubhub... didn't because my legs were knackered from a long run the day before and had to be up at 4am for a train to Southampton, and they're at Glastonbury... kinda regretting it now!

Matt said doing the festival as a punter - glamping it up in a yurt (surely a Teepee?)

Jokingly when asked for advise for Adele and her nerves  he said come along the night before and join them to sing Feeling Good!

think he was joking.

I hope not as hate that bloody song! Toilet break for me then lol

What time are you arriving? I'm thinking of leaving in a bit, it's 45mins to North Greenwich on the tube.

Not til about 7, need to meet the person I'm buying the ticket off. Apparently there was some massive shambles last night with the queues not being let in on time, hopefully they've sorted that out tonight.

For me at least on tuesday it was absolutely fine.

Now going tonight because I got a standing ticket for cheap. Apparently I'm a glutton for punishment. They had better play Butterflies and Hurricanes or Assassin or something.

Matt Bellamy confirmed as an efestivals lurker. Please play The Small Print at Glastonbury, pal.

That was actually pretty awesome (in terms of their current sets). Bliss, plug in baby, apocalypse please and the extended assassin. I'm actually rethinking Glastonbury..

They played Assassins OMFG really???!! it's the one song I would really like to see live!!

Just on the bus home (advantage of living locally to the O2) and my initial feeling is one of overwhelming disappointment. A few stray observations:

The setlist was w*nk. I expected it lean heavily on Drones but at least feature the better stuff, and without hearing it if that's the best they have to offer then they're in trouble. Large chunks of it were painfully dull, too many low tempo plodders (Madness has no business in any set). I'm sure they dropped Stockholm Syndrome after just to wake everyone up. That set would tank at Glastonbury.

The much vaunted production was a disappointment too. Admittedly I was side on to the stage so couldnt see the screens but the balls spun and lit up every now and then and the drone was just laughable. Reminded me of Spinal Tap.

That said, I was a big fan of the revolving stage and how it was lit. It wasn't all bad. As I said, Stockholm Syndrome got a run out, as did Plug in Baby and Map of the Problematique.

Without turning into Russy there were some utter c**ts sat by me too. The woman in front of me filmed the whole thing on her ipad. Her fucking IPAD for Christ's sake! Whilst doing this she was WhatsApping some other idiot telling her how much fun she was having. I am convinced she didn't take her eyes off of a screen for the whole thing. Can we bring back capital punishment for these sort of people?

Special mention to the bloke next to me who was looking up the lyrics to each song on his phone and stiffly singing along.

I got a ticket for last night thanks to the discussion of cheap tickets in here. A great show (I was not hit by a drone!) however seeing the varying setlists is exciting and frustrating in equal measure. Think I got a dud night for me.

In any case I'll be able to watch LCD in peace now, not fearing missing out on the Pyramid. They will be awesome as can't see it being much different to 2010 on the showmanship and setlist choice excellence.

Muse for many years were consistently in the top 3 bands I'd want to see live before I'd die, but now I'd only see them if there was literally nothing else on at the same time and if rumours are correct and they're up against LCD Soundsystem I'd give them a miss without a moments doubt.

It's a shame really, I grew up with Muse; OOS was the first album I ever bought on CD.

I was persuaded to go see Muse at very late notice in Glasgow on sunday. Thought the actual live show was quite spectacular to be fair, the light show and drones made it look stunning. The setlist on the other hand left a lot to be desired and that was the main reason i hadn't originally booked to go. Always difficult for bands to find that middle ground between new/old songs in a tour setlist but even so there were a few flat songs that could easily have been something better in it's place. I am sure the Mrs is wanting to see them at Glastonbury. I may give them half an hour to see what kind of set they play, if its remotely similar i will venture elsewhere.

Haha, that's amazing. Who are these people?

i often look up a recent setlist during the gig and check back to it through the show to see how far we're through, what songs might be coming next etc.

did this at muse too, would i be included in this category? never looked up lyrics to be fair haha
