The interview emily has just done for noisey..

"So you can’t tell us anything? C’mon Emily. Work with me.
Hmmm. Not really. But we are strong on women this year, I have to say. The Park is my, kind of, baby. We get really extremely excited about what we put on there."

I may be jumping the gun, but it is as if she is talking about Women in the park area. PJ Park headliner seems right to me. I would be all over that.

yeah tbh when i saw the mention of females and The Park, my mind went to somebody like Robyn rather than PJ, who seems far more at home on one of the bigger stages

Yeah I agree that PJ will end up on one of the bigger stages, perhaps not all as headliners but acts like Daughter, Savages, Beach House as well as Robyn all seem more likely contenders for the Park.

ah shit i forgot about Joanna. now there's a Park headline act that needs to happen and makes total sense. stick PJ on the Pyramid and Newsom on the Park (and Robyn fucking anywhere)

If this happens I'll cop off with FloorFiller.

Grimes could headline the park too?

Field Day are now advertising her as a '2016 exclusive' when the initial announcement was '2016 London exclusive'... I doubt it means anything more than Field Day trying to flog a few extra tickets but I thought I'd point it out.

yeah I saw this yesterday but I think it's just terrible/suggestive wording on their part.

where does it say that just out of interest? i just went on their website and it clearly states "London 2016 exclusive"

she will clearly play other UK gigs and probably festivals in 2016 lets just hope glastonbury is one of them

the best pointer for me so far is roskilde confirmed which is the weekend after the G, so she is clearly active and available. lets hope it comes off!

That's Holly Herndon on the park for sure.

Could easily see PJ take the Patti Smith or Pixies slot but I think her headlining the Park would be a dream, unmissable.

    • Remain self-imposed on not going north of a hundred, but... we're getting to the point now where the starting gun will be above that for some acts.
    • I'm finding the lower line up a little impenetrable this year   Any thoughts on heavier bands a la Slift a few years ago?
    • Will be curious to see how most of those shows sell. Surprised they're playing Leeds and Manchester - much as I am with Megadeth. (Not complaining, mind you.)
    • Biffy Clyro back again for R+L then 😁   To be fair, Biffy Clyro still one of the true "coup" bookings they've had here. Not implausible another Victorious headliner ends up in the mix, given Ashcroft has done it before. Maybe Kasabian, on the back of their arena run?
