I'm going all in, I think Radiohead are going to be on the poster

The fact we've had a source say they're on the poster followed fairly quickly by a source saying the poster is coming soon leeds me to just to the conclusion that it's the same source and we're all going to be happy

info from different sources.

Apologies if this has been answered recently and I know there's lots of thoughts on who the Other headliners are, but I don't believe the BMTH slot for a second. There, yes, headlining... really??

Surely it's other headliner for the HEED.

I hope you're right. It would be a colossal waste of a huge slot, but it just seems destined to be.

I'm hoping that if Radiohead are on the poster, plans have changed and one of the Other headliners have been bumped down. If that's the case, BMTH would be most likely since I really can't see New Order taking a lower slot and LCD are headlining Coachella.

LCD would surely sub Radiohead without noses being out of joint? I've never really got into LCD or seen em live

Are they a must play in the dark band?

I don't think so really, but the fact they are headlining Coachella and festivals around Europe would make it unlikely. It would also mean Radiohead would clash with Muse which, even though people try and argue they have different fans, would be ridiculous :P

It would work if Radiohead headlined the Pyramid and LCD subbed them, but I can't see it on the Other stage.

Well papers keeping saying about PJ Harvey topping the Other stage so I wonder if she is playing last on that stage with BMTH below but as the essential headliner?.

It's very naive to think BMTH aren't big enough to headline the Other stage, they are an arena band now.

I hope they do, I want to slot PJ in but think there'll be other acts I also want to see in headline slots

2 nights at the o2 (inc 1 fully sold out inc all the seats) as well as playing a full arena tour is bigger than some recent other stage headliners.

I don't think it is. They're in arenas, but not selling them out. Not selling out standing tickets in their home town. An example if a band being relentlessly pushed in an attempt to make them big, when they're not actually that popular or good. Look at their performance at the nme awards. Shameless and embarrassing.

I will be mopey if Radiohead are not on the poster but then I just think about the fact that ZZ Top are playing and it makes me feel a bit better. Yay. ZZ Top...

It's not. I just checked and you can still get Sheffield standing. They've also been on sale for two months. Anyways it's irrelevant, if compared to Radiohead, Radiohead headline.

I've decided they're alright these Radiohead lads, wouldn't mind it if they played. Has anybody considered the very awful possibility that they could be a part of Chris Martin's supergroup? Doesn't seem like the sort of thing they'd go for, but it'd be magnificent trolling on their part.

ok well theres about 50 standing tickets left (you can actually count on that site) which is still pretty good going, a lot of recent other stage headliners haven't dared attempt such a big arena tour.

DJ: I was wondering too what you think of these bands that have followed in the wake of the success of Radiohead, who sound so much like you and, you know, I'm thinking of groups like Travis and groups like Coldplay, that obviously have been influenced by you, do you have time for them at all, or no?"

Thom: "See, I'm going to change the answer now, obviously."

(everyone laughs)

DJ: "I like the answer you gave when we were off the air, go ahead and give that one."

Thom: "Ok, well it's you know the choice between, you know machine gun or pistol by, you know, execution, isn't it?"

DJ: "Oooh! Oh, that's just not nice. (laughs) Do you not like their songs?"

Thom: "They're fine, you know, I mean... everybody's influenced by everybody else, we steal blatantly, and so why not, but, you know, I don't have their records in my house."

DJ: "Right."

Thom: "Do you have their records in your house?"

Ed: "No, I don't."

Thom: "There you go, so that's the honest answer."

With Adele having already been announced as the headliner it would be bizarre for them to announce that. Also Glastonbury having co-headliners doesn't really make sense as at R+L one of them closes the stage at Reading and the other at Leeds. Someone has to go on last.

    • It's the photo that keeps on giving;
    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.
