Or their own shows in Autumn. They've chosen their own lucrative arena gigs over festival slots in places where they can a number of times recently and it's possible they'll do that again. Most of the festivals they're doing this year are same countries as the select few they chose last time.

i just don't think LCD Soundsystem would be an appropriate alternative to Radiohead - both very 'hipster'-esque bands who i imagine have a huge crossover fanbase. if Radiohead headlined i'd expect something like Disclosure up against them (and LCD as a sub which would make so much sense). although yeah, i probably shouldn't speak so soon - i've been stung before

gun to my head? Radiohead there and clashing, easy, then just go to Lovebox to see LCD. but obviously the preferable option would be Radiohead there and not clashing. i realise the realistic outcome will be no Radiohead but LCD being there, which i'm cool with too*

and yep the Nick Cave vs Pumpkins thing is never off my mind - especially as i eventually chose to see neither out of an act of spontaneity and saw Tyler, The Creator instead, who was shite. idiot

Pixies vs Jack White was odd to me in '14.

I haven't got an interest in LCD so I would be happy with that clash.

aye that was another absolute pisser. i originally planned to try and see a bit of both but got so drunk that i just ended up staying for all of Jack and waited it out for Metallica, later finding out i could've seen pretty much all of all three. bah

Yeah, same. I got there for Robert Plant, and decided once there it would be better staying for Jack White than the Pixies. We were in a great spot, so would lose it for Metallica. 

Jack wasn't great, apparently the Pixies were.

I'd planned on seeing Florence then Hot Chip last year so that was a bit annoying when they ended up clashing. Also wanted to see Ryan Adams but there was no way I was missing the Chems. That's as close to a bad clash as I had so got pretty lucky last year.

That seemed like a deliberate decision by Glastonbury HQ for those 2 not to properly clash, right? Wasn't there a larger than normal gap between Jack White and Metallica?

Seems like an odd choice, my only thought is maybe they've done it because their light show needs to be in darkness to really be appreciated
