Calm down, will you. The amount of people who'd decide to go to Glastonbury on the basis that Miley is playing is very minimal, I'd wager it'd actually make the sort of imbecile who follows LG on Twitter less inclined to go, so Miley's done Glastonbury a favour already.

she was famous long before then. have you not heard of Hannah Montana?

Yes I have but I have never seen it, I didn't know she was in that, I had heard something relating to Hannah Montana and assumed she did a song for it or something.

Still my point still applies. She is appalling.

Knew the full dance to this back in the day, wouldn't be too hard to re-learn it for a mass dancealong in the Pyramid field.

That film also had the big-screen debut of one Ms. T. Swift, an underrated modern classic in my view.

OK, I'll admit I'm not the sharpest tool in the box but the whole of this thread is post-ironic, isn't it? I feel helpless and all at sea because I simply don't know.

No it isn't (this isn't irony either).

Hope this helps clear things up.

Electric Wurms that was, and I don't think they do anymore. Miley Cyrus and her Dead Petz is where Miley is backed by the Flaming Lips for a set full of awful, awful music.

ah yes thanks

/me realises how he has confused his wife by mixing up Petz and Wurms

are drozd and ivins also involved with this garbage??

Think so. I'm not convinced it's of their own volition, although Drozd is picking up songwriting credits here and there on the album with Miley, Wayne and Wayne's fortunate nephew Dennis. I don't agree with the fans that are disowning the band for making this muck (although most of their problems are that they're working with Miley in the first place and she's 'bad' or something) as they've done a lot of collaborations before, good and bad, and this is just another bad one. I do however hope that this is pretty short-lived and another proper Lips album is on the way.

Funny how Eavis saying Miley 'has a place at the festival' meaning her act would be welcome at the festival seems to have been misinterpreted in places as Miley 'has a place at the festival' meaning she has a set playing next year. Does nobody actually read the articles anymore?

    • My understanding is that the queues returning back to the UK will be much worse (up to two hours) but the queue entering Lisbon isn’t so bad. That’s just from reading a few forum posts about it though so take it with a pinch of salt!

    • World Cup 2026: What is happening with ticket prices? - BBC Sport   Sounds like Infantino has been learning from his buddy if he's running around claiming its all sold out while quietly dumping tickets below face on assorted secondary websites.
    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
