Think so. I'm not convinced it's of their own volition, although Drozd is picking up songwriting credits here and there on the album with Miley, Wayne and Wayne's fortunate nephew Dennis. I don't agree with the fans that are disowning the band for making this muck (although most of their problems are that they're working with Miley in the first place and she's 'bad' or something) as they've done a lot of collaborations before, good and bad, and this is just another bad one. I do however hope that this is pretty short-lived and another proper Lips album is on the way.

Funny how Eavis saying Miley 'has a place at the festival' meaning her act would be welcome at the festival seems to have been misinterpreted in places as Miley 'has a place at the festival' meaning she has a set playing next year. Does nobody actually read the articles anymore?

They're probably just having a laugh. Must be fun for middle aged men to hang about with 20something girls. I've not heard any of the miley cyrus stuff apart from one song linked on here which was awful, and the cover of lucy in the sky with diamonds, which I didnt mind really.

I actually quite like miley cyrus for no other reason than most old farts hate her so she must be doing something right. I'd rather see her at the festival than the likes of katy perry/rhianna/take that/one direction/muse etc

As you say though, I also hope this is short lived and they bring out a new proper album soon.

Should have seen the faces on the serious music types at Green Man this year when they kept playing the Miley/Lips version of Lucy In The Sky over the PA between bands.

If that's not worth a restraining order, I don't know what is.

I do like her version of Dylan's 'You're gonna miss me when I'm gone'. She certainly does not Ferry the song at all.

I'm all for Cyrus at Glastonbury 2016.

Sod the Swifty.

Bring on Miley. Just to piss off the camping chair blankey brigade.

Who says it has to be an either/or? Miley and Taylor (who are comparable in very few ways, btw). We'll have them performing separately though, please. I'll not have a repeat of this.

I Fuckin' hate Taylor Swift (whata stupid Name)

But I love Miley

You can't say you hate Taylor and she has a stupid name, then in the very next breath say you love a woman who was born Destiny Hope Cyrus. It's like Achy Breaky Heart wanted anybody who met her to know her dad had a mullet, so he gave her a name that would prove it.

I love both Taylor and Miley. Hating is bad.

    • Tbf that happened to me in 2022 so not a one off. 40 euros to drive down 3 streets. I'd have done a runner but the reason for getting the taxi in the first place is cos I couldn't walk no more.
    • I was fully prepared (waterproof jacket, extra pair of socks, foldable umbrella), but after four hours in the rain (from Geese through Oklou to Florence Road), it was just too much. Already at the hotel, let's hope tomorrow's better.
    • It’s rare that I watch question time, but I almost felt sorry for Kenyon, he seemed like a guy just brought off the street which effectively is what he was, made worse by the fact Burnham and the Tory guy were very strong debaters. I think Burnham was very aware not to go too hard on Kenyon and risk him getting sympathy, in fact he pretty much ignored him.
    • Shambles. Transport and comms garbage. Been looking forward to this since last June and have never been to a more disorganised festival in 30+ years.  Why we were told the whole festival was cancelled for the night if they had put back shows for a few hours?  Pissed off to say the very least and put a huge downer on the rest of the weekend.
