O'Doyle Rules
I have been going to Glastonbury for six years now and could never imagine not going. However, I now work in a small company and to my horror, two people in my three-man team have stated they would like to go next year. I know after Glastonbury there is a surge in interest which never really materialises but I can't fathom not going. How do I play this? Considering leaving my job to be honest! efcfanwirral
Personally I work in a company of around 30, and if one of two others want to go i might end up in a scrap to make it happen, and would consider all possibilities.... However, what i'm going to do is get a holiday form in right now, meaning I've got there first and everyone else can scrap for it. Have these people put their holiday dates in? If not you are first... Edited July 1, 2015 by efcfanwirral
Quark
Get your holiday request in early.
Untz
1. Get your form in now. 2. Find a new job. 3. Have a very important team away weekend. I'm starting a job in September and I'm already calculating the earliest I can get a holiday form in.
Abu T Hamster
I have asked for it already and if i find others have booked it in my absence i will be departing.
efcfanwirral
and yes i do feel guilty about it, but when something is so important to you, like glastonbury is to me, it sometimes just has to be done. Its not fair, but missing out on one of the things in the year i look forward to so much just because of WORK isn't fair either
DeanoL
Book it now. There's a good chance the others won't book until they get tickets anyway. And if you don't get tickets, don't tell anyone, keep it in, and get them in the resale.
O'Doyle Rules
Well that's the problem with working for a small business because I don't want to cause friction between us! Like you guys, it means so much to me and got me through some terrible times last year. I am sort of banking on them missing ticket day (will not mention the festival again), getting my own ticket and if there is trouble just leave. Ruwise
I find a day or 2 after the festival everybody I know is saying they want to go but come October they are nowhere to be seen. Just tell them it's shit and that you have a 1 in 2 chance of being robbed. (should put them off!)

st dan
Say you'll try for tickets for your other team member ... But secretly don't .. Just get yours and say your friends managed to get it for you!! Problem solved.
Michaels denim shorts
I run a website with my mate who comes too & we literally just close up weds-Fri & open again Saturday as we can't send the weekend orders till Monday anyway. Customer service lacks a little for a couple of days but all works out ok

stuartbert two hats
Work for yourself. I tell my clients I'm not going to be available. I don't ask. But then they ignore me and pester me anyway. Don't work for yourself, that doesn't work!
tyranicide
I haven't been to Glasto but I really want to go next year, yet I'm undecided whether I should go to Glasto and spend the summer at a bunch of festivals (ideally tickets for Glasto, volunteering at a few others), or spending the summer in the states working at one of the summer camps. John_P
I'd just book it off now, in my last job when leave was at a premium the first thing I'd do on my first day in after Glastonbury or Leeds Festival was book the dates off for the following year. Space Shanty
Its understood about me at work - I take that week off. No exceptions Will you be doing the resale notification thingy again next year siblin? I'm already nervous about T day in October and know that sooner or later there will be a year when I miss out in the first sale!

st dan
I'm gonna be in the U.S. on ticket day next year .. I'll still try for them .. Will it work the same as if I was in the UK? Or will they class my browser as being an International ticket?

Two bites of the cherry before you have to worry about that! but I'd imagine assuming it follows the same pattern i'll be doing the same thing. The Placid Casual
My dilemma is that I'm in France from mid June until mid July. To get to Glasto I'd have to fly to the UK and fly back again after the festival. How do I do this on no money?

The chances of all 3 of you getting tickets are slim based on the number of available tickets and people applying. Currently you don't have a problem as nobody is going next year yet. If they are newbies, they probably don't have a clue how mad ticket day is.
