There is also reports of some Utd fans chanting about Hillsborough last night again, but no "illicit chant" charge being made yet again by UEFA..................

As I say, farce.

Gill is a UEFA exec, no?

Well reminded, thanks. Think I'll make Spain my next European trip mainly for this reason

No worries, you definitely should. Think they said on the stadium tour (was free with the ticket the following day - not sure it is always case but was good anyway) that the new ground is up by the airport somewhere. Plans around the place looked impressive, but the old place was rocking. Think it will be a real shame when they leave it. May head back next year in fact,

Yes I'd read that it's out of the city to the east? And that the fans aren't happy about it.

No change there...

Yeah since last night Gill has strong armed everyone at UEFA, risking his entire career and severely damaging Man Utds global brand just to save a few shitheads from stadium bans or a small fine for the club. Even though they've already been charged with the more serious offences of crowd disturbances, throwing objects and blocking stairways.

Champo League draw. Madrid, Bayern, Barca and PSG semis?

Wolfsburg v Real Madrid

Bayern Munich v Benfica

Barcelona v Atlético Madrid

PSG v Manchester City

Time for Klopp to go home and tap up some players so.

Really interested to see how he will fair against a quality side in this competition

I think it'll be less about how he does, and far more about which Liverpool turn up on the night(s).

The team is more than a little schizophrenic at the moment, able to totally dominate like they did last week, while also able to look like relegation candidates in the next match.

I know and understand all too well know where you are coming from, but relegation candidates is probably a bit too harsh. They are still currently the form team in the PL along with the Hammers and Leicester.

I'm both thrilled and gutted about this draw.

Thrilled because Dortmunt are a genuinely class club with amazing fans. Watching them play gives me something to look forward to as it's mainly Klopps team and hopefully the levels he will take us in the future.

Gutted because I would rather a game like this in the final or hope someone else knocked them out on the way. I understand you have to beat the best to win cups but at the end of the day a trophy is a trophy and I'd quite happily have accepted winning the Europa League after beating United, Braga, Sparta Prague and Shakhtar.

Difference between first and second half performances was huge.

Was nice to see Sissoko actually doing defensive work for once. Was surprised by Townsend getting pulled off, he'd looked our most threatening player up until that point.

Think the result favours Norwich (and maybe Palace) most. Have to win next week though....

Townsend was our main threat, was surprised he got subbed.

People still think Pellegrini is good?

Fair play to United, they got it absolutely perfect.

I don't think he is a great manager or a fucking useless one. I also think blaming the manager when things aren't going well is sometimes oversimplistic. Players have to take some responsibility. I don't think city lost yesterday because of their manager any more than I think Liverpool blowing a 2 goal lead was down to klopp

As I have said I think city are paying the price for poor recruitment over the last few years. A lot of money spent and little to show for it, only De Bruyne really stands out as a great signing during that period. At the same time despite their deep pockets they still haven't found a centre back better than lescott.

As I have said how much pelligrini is responsible for transfers, I don't know. Maybe the likes of Mangala and delph will look world beaters under pep and I have misjudged them. City still great when everyone fit, but without the squad to cover when not.

Liverpool: schizophrenic

I think its a season that Liverpool just need to get to the end. There is little doubt in my mind that klopp will get things right when he gets his players in.

I was in Liverpool at the weekend and have to say whoever came up with the idea to call Everton club shop Everton 2 (based in Liverpool one) is a geniusa

    • Interesting to read. It's mostly why we stopped going a few years back even though it's the nearest big festival to home. The post-exams timing and location makes it a rites of passage first festival for people in a big area. Understandably that leads to a bit of giddiness. Think lineup would need to be a lot more my cup of tea to be enticed back. Friends who are there are having a good time tho and no rain is a good thing for up there.
    • I honestly didn't know it had, I still thought it was where the view overlooked the lake and view.   I think my decision not to attend this year at least was justified. Biffy was the big draw but after Finsbury I knew they wouldn't play what I want to hear again and well work also got in the way. Believed interesting to hear if Libertines were any good as they were also a pull but Sunday did nothing for me really with all my acts on Friday and Saturday.
