Yeah that's what they said about Queen...

If Freddie had broken his leg and couldn't perform then Roger Taylor or Brian May could have been more than capable of filling in

Was a genuine question, No one else in Stones or AC/DC can sing, wondered if anyone else in Foo Fighters could step in

How vital is he? Cant they just play without him if necessary? have one of the other members of the band sing and just get in a session guitarist

Like him and The Foo's or not .. Dave Grohl is comfortably the most famous and recognisable 'rock' musician in the past 15 years throughout the world.

I've just calculated that Taylor Hawkins can sign 'Cold Day in the Sun' around 50 times in the 2.5 hours slot .. That's a possibility I suppose.

Not a big Foo Fighters fan, had heard of Dave but couldn't name more than 2 or 3 of their songs, if they perform i will likely go see them as a time killer more than out of enthusiasm, but sounds like he is not replaceable

I also want to say what a true legend Dave Grohl is for coming back and playing. I've seen a couple of scathing posts about him on this forum in the past, not entirely sure what they're based on.

For some reason Russy likes to paint him as some sort of evil despot and it is entertaining to play along with the myth that Dave Grohl is some kind of underwear stealing megalomaniac disguised as basically a big grin in jeans.

Why anyone would want to "kill time" at the biggest festival of performing arts on the planet is beyond me.....go find something you'd actually enjoy

i have my list of artists i want to go along and see, I am so so about the Foo Fighters, but if nothing is on at the other stages i have a greater desire to see then i will go along and see Foo Fighters

Well that's the stupidest thing I've read today.

Why?

Roger Taylor is one of the most accomplished vocalists alive today, one of only a tiny handful of 4 octave singers, he is no showman so Queen without Freddie would been lacking a bit of extra spark, but Taylor could have more than filled in if Freddie had broken his leg
