No Mississippi Allstars though, Wheren't they tbc? Wonder if they are playing elsewhere?

Where do St Paul and The Broken Bones fit into all this then? Thought they were nailed on?

Both of these concerned me a bit too when not on the Avalon line-up - I assume they're both 'promoted' to West Holts, Pretty sure they'll not have just dropped off the festival altogether

This has fiven me what I was after which was an alternative to The Who who are not The Chemical Brothers. And I have always wanted to go see Idlewild. Will give me an excuse to properly check out the Avalon Field this year! Can't wait now, headliners in place for all 3 nights on 3 different stages!

Love it - my favourite area of the site.

3 daft monkeys (and 2/3 Daft Monkeys :) ), Mad Dog Mcrea, Gaz Brookfield, Ferocious Dog, Hobo Jones, Neville Staple, Soundof the Sirens.

I've been recommended Bare Knuckle Parade and no doubt a few others I shall discover tonight on youtube / spotify.

Bit of Folk / Bit of Ska / Bit of Cider at the Avalon Inn - Sorted :)

Lamb could be a must-see, which is great because I don't really spend that much time in Avalon.

King Creosote maybe as well.

Would love to see Idlewild but if they're headlining the likelihood is something else will draw me away

Edit: Just saw Banco De Gaia are playing the Cafe! Fucking brilliant

Oh I hadn't even noticed that! Their set from 95 which they recorded sounded great.

What time does music normally go onto in the cafe - is it similar to the other stages or does it keep going until late?

I love the Avalon Stage (Who'd have guessed it...)

The Zombies, Raghu Dixit, Seth Lakeman, Molotov Jukebox, Neville Staples, Hobo Jones (For the 5,000th time) and maybe for good fun Lulu.

If you're passing the Avalon Cafe when Curtis Elller playing, please check him out. I promise he is the funniest musician ever, and has some proper good songs too! I'll pledge to buy you an Otter Ale in the Avalon Pub if you don't enjoy his gig....

I don't know to be honest.

Plenty of folks on here will know so they'll tell us hopefully.

Be surprised if it doesn't go on til midnight at least, maybe 1am.

I've seen Banco De Gaia a couple of times at Glasto.

One year I got split up from my mates for the best part of 24 hours with no phone and thankfully one of them had the wit to check out the wee tent where Banco was playing at around 7pm on the Sunday evening where he found me in a fairly shambolic but euphoric state

I think it goes on til around 3a.m. (might be earlier Sunday night).

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
